Ballet Dancer Minho -30

Skater boy Jisung -23

"Oppa! Hurry up, I don't want to be late." Nina tugged Jisung along as they walked down the busy street towards the dance studio. Jisung clung onto his skateboard under one arm as he pulled his little sister back, so she didn't accidentally get snatched up.

"Calm down Nina." Jisung chuckled as the girl bounced around in her fluffy boots to keep her feet warm from the snow that had fallen just a day before, "We aren't going to be late, if anything we are going to be early."

"But I want to know what I'm playing in the Christmas recital already!" Nina whined lightly as she soon spotted the pink and green sign indicating the dance school was just in sight.

Jisung let himself be pulled into the studio. Immediately he was engulfed in the warm heaters, his large denim jacket had done nothing to keep him warm on their journey from their flat. Nina rushed over to her locker and dumped her bag inside making sure to grab her full-sole ballet shoes which she wore during most of the lesson.

"Don't forget your pointe shoes. I thought you told Mum you were finally starting to practise in them during lessons." Jisung questioned as he dug through the girl's bag to find her newish pair of pointe shoes.

"They hurt" Nina huffed as she shook her head and refused to take them from Jisung.

"Of course, they'll hurt when you first wear them. It's like when you got your new school shoes. You were really excited for them, but they rubbed. But remember after a week or so they stopped? The same will happen with these." Jisung ruffled her hair and motioned Nina to head down the corridor towards their studio. The studio was a lot warmer, so Jisung slipped off his jacket as he followed Nina who rushed over to another small girl who was probably in her class.

Jisung clutched his skateboard closer as he noticed a few disapproving looks from parents who were waiting to pick up their children from the lesson that was about to finish. One woman in particular glared and scoffed at him before dragging her child away from Nina.

Okay, maybe that was because he had a few piercings, and potentially the very wild tattoo sleeve that was now on full display. But that was a poor drunken decision which he partly blames his friends for. Felix, his friend, was an inspiring tattoo artist. So Jisung being his best friend let his arm be a sacrifice for being Felix's canvas. He had a range of Studio Ghibli tattoos across his arm as well as a couple of space items. He also had a cute alien on a moon inspired by one of his most recent songs that he had released on SoundCloud.

"Oppa! Let's go in. I want to warm up and find out who I get to play in the recital." Nina grabbed Jisung's arm once more and pulled him into the bright dance studio.

As the last trails of slightly older children trickled out. Jisung saw the ballet teacher pushing a few barres into the middle of the room, clearly in preparation for the warm-up.

"Minho Seonsaeng-nim!" Nina called and rushed over to the ballet teacher who looked over to her with a smile.

"Hello Nina, how are you? Excited for the lesson?" Minho asked the girl as he crouched down to her height. Jisung stood awkwardly behind her.

Minho knew he was no threat; he at least knew he was her big brother and not her dad which was what he thought when he first met the younger during a meeting. Both their parents were busy at work, so Jisung was dragged in their place. It was one of Nina's first lessons and Jisung had awkwardly introduced himself and stumbled over his words almost claiming he was her dad, and not that he was replacing their dad.

Jisung shook away the thoughts of his tomato-coloured face and the butterflies he got when Minho smiled at him during that meeting.

"Who am I playing?!" Nina bounced up and down, nearly hitting Minho with her flailing arms.
