hi.
i'll be honest, benevolent has been riding the Hot Mess Express train for nearly a year now. i had lost the plot, following some personal things going on in my life and it definitely showed whenever i finally managed some kind of shitty update.
since then, i've expanded my horizons so to speak, and my writing style has definitely changed looking back at the earlier chapters of benevolent and other things i've written. (we don't talk about somebody else, alright? we'll leave her be. for now.)
i recently found myself missing teacher luke. instead of trying to "fix" benevolent by tweaking chapters, i've decided to completely start over, kind of. turning over a new leaf, if you will.
so, if you've found yourself reading this and wondering where the hell benevolent went, she's arrived! new and (slightly) improved, this time with a more dedication to grammar and spell-check, and a few major tweaks to the overall plot.
if you're curious (you might not be but i looooove overexplaining!) why i'm republishing benevolent as a new story instead of keeping the.. 8, or 9k reads or something it already had previously, is because i just want a clean slate. i want to see people enjoy this story as much as i do, i guess. without the previous reads, votes and comments.
also, you may notice, i've neglected to post an "intro" chapter with faceclaims. i've decided to go without this time, though you can imagine avery and liliana as whomever you wish. pretty sure we all know what 5sos looks like by now.
and lastly, i've got about six chapters finished but i'll be uploading weekly starting today. that way i can give myself some time to breathe and not feel rushed.
