ACHILLES'S POV
Well, there it was. We were officially going to be torn apart without mercy, without even knowing what was going to happen to us. Naturally, I felt awful about this, as I was going to lose friends, family, my soulmate and most importantly, my son.
After days of feeling anxious and panicked, I decided to put my plan into action: we would be leaving and go see some people who would have a way to calm down Hades's awful ideas right at that moment. Patroclus and Neoptolemus were looking at me like they saw Zeus himself.-What do you mean we're leaving, Achilles?
- I mean that we got to find every single person that had a major impact on our world, gather them and go to Hades and demand justice, I said.
- Father, Neoptolemus said, that won't be easy. How exactly are we defining who is important and who isn't?
- Well, I said, we would have to communicate with the people who most recently arrived here, because when they arrive they get information about the important people that wander around here.
- That's actually pretty smart, Patroclus said. But where do we find such people? They are staying in a whole different region.
- And that's exactly where we're going to go, I said. Don't worry about it, I have planned everything.
- So you are planning on us all going to every region of the underworld? That's not possible, Neoptolemus said.
- Could you please trust me on this one? I learned where they are staying, we don't have to move around for the remaining of eternity, I said. But it could take us a couple of days to get there without being noticed, aa we are kind of not allowed to switch regions even for a short while without getting Hades's permission. The last thing I want right now is to face Hades, I seriously think I will not be able to keep myself calm around him, I'd even consider violence.
- Achilles, Patroclus said, you are completely out of your mind! Violence is not the solution at this point, we just have to try to change the situation as you said. This isn't the war, Achilles, this is "rest in peace" basically becoming "rest wherever we tell you", it has to be handled differently.
I took a deep breath and realised that my love was right. Neoptolemus agreed with a nod and they both kept looking at me, craving my final response.
- Fine, I finally said. But that does not mean that I am forbidden to use violence if necessary.
- Dad no, Neoptolemus said in an accent, I'm sure it's all gonna be fine. Now, what's the plan?
- Why are you talking like that? I am deeply confused, it sounds rude, Patroclus said, what is this?
- Patroclus, he said, I talked like that because there is something my brilliant father forgot to think.
- What did I forget?
- You forgot that we are people of History, people will recognise us and ask us things about our lives and we will never get their help if that happens. We have to disguise ourselves in order to look and sound like them, unless you want people to annoy you and shift you away from your own plan, Neoptolemus said.
- I think that is a wonderful idea, Patroclus said. Or should I say " that's a good idea"?
- You have a long way until you can get good at this, Neoptolemus said. You just have to speak less proper, everything is much simpler now than it was back when we all lived. People dress more freely, they talk in a more simple way and they wear different clothes.
- I see, I said. We shouldn't share any information, we will just ask questions and leavs them as soon as we get them.
- Exactly, Neoptolemus said. I know someone who can get us what we need and we will leave as sooner as possible.
- Just asking, Patroclus said, what will we do if nothing goes as planned and we change nothing at all?
- In that case, I said, we will have to lower our heads in acceptance.
