Sputniik (Stylized as SPUTNIIK) is the first full album including 10 tracks written, sang, and produced by Russian-Korean rapper and singer Lyr. It follows the mini album Lost In The Fire, produced in 2019, and comes before The Lost Soul Down, a digital single released in 2020.
Mixing many genres such as breakcore, R&B, electronic music, hyperpop, and alternative indie, the album was received wonderfully by critics and reached the top 5 on record charts all around the world, especially gaining traction in the U.S., Russia, and South Korea.
The album itself combined both English and Korean lyrics, and also included some lines of Russian, paying homage to the rapper's roots.
