The bell on the door rings as Elizabeth and Hawk made their way in. Elizabeth bends down next to mead with a scolding look on her face "so, mead... I hear you're quite the prankster with a bad sense of humour. The chief in your village told me so." "What's it to you? Who do you think you are, my mother?" Mead replied.
"Yeah you tell her!" A griffindoor shouted.
Elizabeth then went on to tell the story "When I was young, I used to get scolded by my father for pulling pranks. I really wanted his attention." A flashback starts of Elizabeth and her father "He wasn't the father I was born to. And one day when I was a little girl, I climbed a really tall tree in the garden hoping to give him a good scare. He turned pale as a ghost and started up the tree to try and save me. This man who had never climbed one in his entire life. And then he fell out of the tree and hurry himself, though luckily it wasn't serious. But still, I remember every minute of it like it was yesterday. If he died, I know that I could have never forgiven myself."
"No one asked for your sob story lady!" Ginny shouted. "That is no way to speak young lady!" Molly scolds only to be ignored as other shouted in agreement will Ginny.
"What's that supposed to mean to me? You don't know me!" Mead said angrily. Lilith got up from Meliodas' lap and made her way to Mead. "Well I don't think you do these things to make the other villagers mad. So why do you do it?" Lilith questioned mead as she brought him into an embrace.
"That's so sweet." Luna said with her dreamy smile.
"I don't do this kind of stuff because I don't feel for them, they're all real good to me." A flashback about Meads early life started as he continued to speak "My mom and dad were always going from place to place. I was even born on the road. But when we stopped here in Vanya a few years ago, there was an epidemic, then they got sick and died. That's when the people of the village took me in and raised me as one of their very own. And I was so thankful that they did. But I wasn't a part of anyone's real family. I got jealous 'cause I knew I'd never get what they had. I started lying and pulling pranks." "I'm sure your parents are watching you from above." Lilith whispered in Meads ear.
"Poor boy." Lily muttered.
Elizabeth then asked "is that why you put the bug in the Holy Knights drink too? Cause you were upset?" This made Mead lash out at her "No! I did that because the Knight treated everyone in the village like they were crap!"
The incident with the Holy Knight is then shown. The chief is speaking as someone pours the ale for the Knight "Our village is very proud of this years brew, we truly believe it's our best one yet." The same Holy knight with pink hair is shown talking a sip of the ale before saying "Disgusting. I'd rather drink horse piss than more of this swill." The holy Knights words left all the villagers in shock. Mead in a fit of rage threw a bug in the Homy knights drink. The Holy Knight knocks the glass off the table letting smash on the ground. He pulls out his sword and jams it into the ground causing shocks of lightning to release from the sword.
"Adding that to the cons list." A certain ginger said.
Back in the Boat Hat mead continues to speak "we just care so much about it. Everyone in the village out their heart and soul into making that ale. But he insulted them! Holy knights are no-good bastards!" "Okay and what about saying you're good friends with the Eight Deadly Sins?" Lilith asked. " well, I lied." Mead responded. "Too bad. Gotta admit, I kinda had my hopes up." Meliodas said finishing his ale. "What made you tell a lie like that?" Lilith questioned. Mead told her "The Eight Deadly Sins are wanted by the Holy Knight's, aren't they? If the Holy Knights are going after them, doesn't that means the Eight Deadly Sins are the good guys?"
