Jade's POV
"O-okay, um thanks for telling me" I stutter as I hang up the phone, tears streaming down my cheeks. Emily walks into the room and sees that I'm crying, she hugs me tight and whispers; "What's wrong baby?". "H-he's... he's out of j-jail" I whisper and hold onto Emily, crying. "It's gonna be okay, I will never ever let him hurt you again" She whispers and picks me up, holding me on her lap. I curl up in a ball and bury my face in her neck, taking deep breathes. She rubs my back and kisses my head, holding me close. I relax a little and sigh quietly. "I love you so much" She whispers and kisses my head. "I love you too" I whisper back and smile a little.
Emily's POV
"I love you so much" I whisper and kiss Jade's head, holding her close. "I love you too" She whispers back and smiles a little. "It'll be okay baby girl" I say and rub her back. "Promise?" She whispers back looks up at me. "I promise" I whisper and kiss her softly. She kisses me back and whispers back; "Thank you". "You're welcome princess" I smile and kiss her nose. She giggles quietly and relaxes.
