Going Home

***Friday 7:21pm***

Jade's POV

          I sit next to Emily on the couch and grab her hand, kissing it. "Emily, I need to talk to you" I look down. "What's wrong baby?" She squeezes my hand and kisses my cheek. "I-I need to go back home" I look up at her, close to tears. Emily comes closer to me and hugs me tight. I hug her back and lay my head on her shoulder. "Do you want me to come with you?" She whispers. "N-no, I'll be fine" I wipe my eyes. "Okay, but call me if you need anything, no matter what time it is" She kisses my forehead. "Thank you" I hug her again. "You're welcome princess" She hugs me back. I start to take off her hoodie but she stops me. "Keep it" She smiles and I smile back. We get up and she walks me to my car. I wrap my arms around her neck and she wraps hers around my waist. I smile and kiss her. "I love you" I whisper. "I love you too" She whispers back and kisses me again. "I'll call you later" I get in my car. "Okay, bye baby" She waves and I drive away.

***Three Hours Later***

Emily's POV

          I'm laying on the couch when my phone goes off. I pick it up and see that I have a text from Jade.

Jade: Emily, I don't want you to worry but I need you to get over here asap... my step dad left but I can't get up... please hurry....

Emily: I will be right there baby

          I get up and get in my car, driving to Jade's house. I get out and go into the house. I see Jade laying on the living room floor. She is curled up in a ball, crying. I sit on the floor next to her and carefully pick her up, holding her. "Shh baby, it's okay, I'm gonna take care of you" I kiss her head and get my phone out, calling 911. "The ambulance will be here soon" I carefully take her hoodie off and see that her arms are covered in bruises and cuts. "I will never let him hurt you again Jade" I kiss her forehead and hold her. The ambulance comes and I pick her up, laying her on the stretcher. She whimpers when I put her down. I kiss her forehead and whisper. "I'll get in the ambulance after they get you in baby" She relaxes a little and nods. The EMT's get her into the ambulance and I get in, grabbing her hand. I kiss her hand and she looks over at me, smiling a little. I smile and kiss her cheek.

***At the Hospital***

Jade's POV

          We get to the hospital and they take me into a room. They give me a gown and Emily helps me change into it. The nurse comes in and cleans me up a little then bandages my cuts. She does my vitals and gets me hooked up to an I.V. After the nurse leaves Emily gets into bed with me and carefully wraps her arms around me. I curl up in her arms and lay my head on her shoulder. She pulls the blanket up over us and brushes my hair out of my face. I lean into her fingers and relax. She smiles and kisses my forehead. I smile and wrap my arms around her, closing my eyes and falling asleep.

Emily's POV

          I look down at Jade and watch her sleep. "I'll never let him hurt you again baby" I whisper and caress her cheek. The doctor walks in and I look over at him. "I have a few questions for you miss" He says. I nod, telling him to continue. "Well, first what is your relationship to the patient?" He looks at me. "I'm her girlfriend" I smile. He nods. "And do you know how this happened to her?" He asks. "Her um.. her step dad did it...." I whisper and look down at Jade. "Thank  you" He says and leaves the room. I hold Jade close to me and kiss her head. I lay my head back and close my eyes. I rub Jade's back and fall asleep.
