Hot shot is eight years old. He lives with his father Heatwave and his mother Quickshadow. They all just moved to their new home in Houston Texas and they finally get settled into their new life.

Heatwave is a firefighter. He is very brave and strong. He has helped save many lives. He has the respect of his fellow firefighters. He has the respect of other first responders. He has the respect of his boss too. Heatwave taught Hot shot at a very early age how to dial 911 and about fire safety. Hot shot was very clever and understood. Heatwave was glad his son was so clever. Heatwave is a very loving, caring, understanding and loyal husband and father. He loves his wife Quickshadow and his son Hot shot very much.

Quickshadow is a pediatric cardiologist. She now works at Texas children's hospital because she was transferred there from her old job after applying to transfer there. She has helped many children with their hearts. Helped them to understand their condition, how to care for their heart, and that even with a heart condition they are still amazing kids. She knows that heart problems in children are common just like they are in adults. She is a very loving, caring, understanding and devoted wife and mother. She loves her husband Heatwave and her son Hot shot with all of her heart.

Hot shot is a very active and playful child. He loves to run, jump, climb and play. He is a child who loves to be on the move. Hot shot also loves sports. His favorite sport is baseball. He loves the color yellow, he loves rhinos, he loves Pokemon, he loves dogs, he loves fish and chips, he loves peanut butter cookies, he loves cookie dough ice cream and he loves to be a big help. Hot shot likes to go places like the playground. He loves to run, jump, climb and play there. He loves to ride his bike, he loves to play catch and he loves to have fun. Hot shot is kid who is full of dreams and wants to reach for them.

Hot shot loved to ride his bike it was yellow. Hot shot would always wear a helmet while riding it. Hot shot also were knee pads and elbow pads to protect himself from getting hurt. Hot shot loved to roller skate too. He also loved to use his skateboard. He also love his scooter too. Whenever using any of those things like his bike he wore a helmet and safety pads. He remembers his father taught him that helmets saved lives and how he has seen many kids get protected after getting his bike cars or crashing when responding if they were wearing helmets. Hot shot like his helmet he chose it himself he chose a very hard and sturdy helmet. It was yellow and he put baseball, Pokemon, animal and firetruck stickers on it. Hot shot also wrote his named on it in red permanent marker.

Hot shot even though he loved to do things, like run, jump, climb and play. Along with doing sports and riding his bike, scooter, roller-skating and skateboarding. He was tired and out of breath all the time. He had chest pains, he felt a pounding or fluttering in his chest, he felt dizzy sometimes, he felt weak too, and his chest sometimes hurt too. But today he was feeling pretty bad and came up to his mother. Hot shot was having fun on his play set but he couldn't keep doing it anymore.

Quickshadow saw Hot shot approach. "Something wrong poppet?" Quickshadow asked him.

"I feel bad," Hot shot said.

"What's wrong?" Quickshadow asked.

"My chest hurts, I feel pound in my chest, I feel tired, I am out of breath, I feel weak and dizzy," Hot shot said.

"I think we should get you to the doctor," Quickshadow said. So Quickshadow made an appointment for Hot shot to see his new pediatrician Dr. Erret.

Heatwave and Quickshadow took him to see Dr. Erret that morning. Hot shot had his favorite toy Roxy the rhino and he brought his Nintendo switch too. Hot shot was worried what was going to happen today at Dr. Erret's office. Hot shot had seen Dr. Erret before for various reasons. This time his parents were going to see why Hot shot was feeling tired, weak, dizzy, had chest pains, felt pounding in his chest and was out of breathe all the time. Hot shot was wanting to know that too. He was wanting to be able to run and play without getting tired or his chest hurting.
