CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR

"(Y/N), YOU'RE BACK!!" As you entered the UA dormitories, you were bombarded by your fellow classmates. You haven't seen them in a few weeks, and only a few were allowed to visit you in the hospital. It was strange without your presence around. Mina was the first to envelop you into a bone-crushing hug, following by the rest of the 1-A girls. The boys soon joined, minus Bakugo, who was most likely asleep. You felt tears fall from your eyes from the overwhelming love. 1-A never failed to treat one another as family, making sure everyone felt loved and appreciated.

"Now, now, let's give (L/n) space." Iida scolded. He knew you wanted to change the subject, and chose to direct 1-A's attention elsewhere. "We were just deciding what to do for the upcoming UA school festival. You've joined us at the perfect time!" You let out a sigh of relief, your eyes trailing off. They locked with Todoroki's, and he offered a smile. you couldn't help but to smile back. Finally, some high school normalcy that didn't require the use of quirks, being a hero, or everyone pitying your current state.

"I'm thinking a maid cafe!~" Mineta gushed. Annoyed groans escaped from the crowd of students. A bit of drool spilled from his lip. Sero and Denki cheered in agreement. Perverts, you thought to yourself. Koda raised a gentle hand, shaking nervously.

"Uh, maybe we could do a haunted house?" The students muttered to themselves, wondering how a haunted house could play out. You thought it was an interesting idea, but you definitely weren't dressing up to scare people.

"We could do a skit?" Jiro piped up. "Or not, I don't know ..." She, like the rest of the class, weren't too sure on what to do. It was quiet, before Mina stepped forward, raising an excited fist. All eyes were fixated onto her.

"Let's throw a big dance party!" She exclaimed. The silence made Mina huff in embarrassment, crossing her arms. "Okay, never mind.." Todoroki shrugged.

"Actually, I think that's a good idea. It's pretty original, and I haven't heard of something like that being done here before. I'm not too skilled in dancing, though." Hagakura hummed in agreement, bouncing up and down happily.

"We'll need exciting music for the dance, like a band!!" She exclaimed. Hagakure then turned toward Jiro. "We'll need your instruments, and you can direct us! Hey, maybe you can sing!!" Jiro began panicking, struggling to come up with any reason to NOT participate.

"Uh, it's just a little hobby, it's nothing serious! I couldn't direct an entire band on my own.."

"Nonsense, you've got sick music skills!!" Denki threw an arm around her shoulder, pulling her in close. Her face flushed in embarrassment, and she quickly shrugged him off.

"Let's not pressure Jiro." Momo defended her. "If she isn't interested, we can't force her to."

"Well, maybe it's a good idea.." Jiro thought aloud. The class, as well as yourself, began to cheer. You were excited to be focused on something that had nothing to do with hero-work. Planning for the UA festival would take up the entire upcoming month, meaning the students of UA would finally get a break from the chaos surrounding them. Suddenly, loud footsteps could be heard entering the common room. As you all turned, you spotted Katsuki, who scratched his bedhead as he approached the group. He wore a black top, and black baggy sweats that sat low enough on his waist to reveal his boxers. You felt yourself staring for too long, and quickly looked away, your face heating up. What the hell's wrong with me?!

"What's all the noise for?!" He grumbled, glaring with his tired, half-lidded eyes. When he spotted you, his gaze instantly softened. Before he could speak, Kirishima rushed toward him, throwing a strong arm around his shoulder.

"Baku-bro, we need you to play the drums!!" He exclaimed. "I remember you told me about playing the drums once. Are you any good?!" Bakugo scoffed, shoving Kirishima off of him.

"Of course I'm good at the drums." He stated matter-of-factly. "But no, I'm not playing in your shitty little extra band." Sero and Kirishima then exchanged glances.

"Drums too hard for ya', huh?!" Sero teased. Kirishima then leaned in, cupping the blonde's ear and whispering.

"Scared to embarrass yourself in front of your girlfriend?" Katsuki instantly turned red— not only from anger, but from being put on the spot by one of his closest friends. He knew the two of you had planned to trick Todoroki, but he didn't expect the entire class to catch on. Denki, Sero, and Kirishima wouldn't stop teasing him lately, and he never knew how to react.

"Shut your fucking traps— I'll blow the entire school away with how I drum!!" Kirishima and Sero high-fived, their usual 'trick Bakugo' plan working as per-usual. Mineta frowned, kicking his feet.

"I don't want to do this, I'm not much of a musical guy. I really can't dance much, either. I don't want to embarrass myself..." Mina crossed her arms, glaring as he went on his pessimistic rant. There was only one solution to this.

"You don't want to dance with all of the girls?" At the sound of this, Mineta squealed.

"THE FESTIVAL CAN'T COME SOON ENOUGH."

"We should have special effects, it'll catch the interest of the audience." Asui piped up. You and your friends nodded in agreement. The class continued the discussion, assigning certain students to specific roles that they preferred. It was a rough beginning, but over the course of the next month, the details would be fine-tuned. You found yourself leaning toward the dance team. You weren't the best dancer, but Mina wouldn't mind giving you extra lessons to sharpen your moves.

"It's settled!" Iida announced. "The Band Team; Bakugo, Momo, Jiro, Denki, and Tokoyami. The Dance Team; Myself, Mina, (L/n), Asui, Midoriya, Sato, Oijiro, Uraraka, Hagakure, Shoji, and Mineta. Lastly, we have the Effects Team; Koda, Kirishima, Sero, Todoroki, and Aoyama. We'll have weekly discussions and continue planning. We'll have the greatest attraction that the UA festival has to offer!!"
