CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX
❛ the UA festival ❜

"ALRIGHT, THAT'S A wrap, everyone!!" The students of 1-A celebrated as they concluded their festival performance. You smiled at the crowds cheers, wiping the sweat from your brow. The long hours of grueling practice were worth it, the audience reaction being proof of that. You were thankful for this opportunity to focus on your student life, as well as your studies. After a month, you still haven't received your quirk back. It was a painful fact that you had to face, but you didn't let that stop you from continuing to live your life.

When the curtains closed, you, along with your classmates, began packing up the stage. The festival had finally come to an end, and all of the attendees were beginning to leave. All that was left was to finishing packing up and to head back to the dormitories. As you all discussed the performance, you didn't seem to notice a 1-B student approaching the stage.

"Hey, you guys did amazing!" Turning to face the student, it was none other than Itsuka Kendo, the 1-B classroom representative. She was still in her costume from the play they put on. "Seriously, your class is beyond talented!"

"Thank you, Kendo!" Midoriya grinned, bowing toward the girl. "The play your class performed was amazing, I loved all of the costumes!" A few of your classmates chipped in, complimenting 1-B and their spectacular performance. Kendo smiled bashfully, thanking Midoriya as well as the others.

"Well, I actually wanted to invite your class to a party we're hosting at the 1-B dormitories to celebrate the success of the festival. It's beginning after we all clean up. Everyone is welcome— and I promise, I'll be keeping Monoma in check!!" Mina was the first to accept her invitation, jumping with excitement.

"I'll definitely be there!! I love a good party!! Guys, we haveee to go!!" She threw her arms around both you and Uraraka's shoulders, to which the two of you accepted the invitation.

"We'd love to be there!!" Uraraka smiled. You nodded your head in agreement. You were definitely exhausted, but one party wouldn't hurt, right? Kirishima and Sero joined in, agreeing to attend the party.

"I'd better get going, but I'd love to see you all there!!" With that, Kendo made her way back toward her own class to finish cleaning up.

"I'm too tired to party ..." Jiro admitted, slinging two of her guitars over her shoulder. Hagakure agreed, claiming she was far too tired from her dancing.

"Ah, I'll see how I feel after we clean up." Sato spoke, lifting up two large speakers. "I'm pretty tired, though. I'll probably pass on the party." Bakugo, of course, refused to attend, claiming the party to be an 'extra-fest'. Everyone continued their designated cleanup jobs, heading back and forth from the stage to the dormitory. You had to admit, you were exhausted, and were rethinking your decision to attend the party with every trip you made. When you told Mina, you couldn't argue with her pleading, and decided to go anyway.
