9. UNFORTUNATELY FORTUNATE

Y/N and Rapheal stood there in front of an old McDonald's fast food restaurant, being highly disappointed. Y/N forgot he lost his wallet awhile ago, And Rapheal only having a couple of dollars left from the diner.

"I mean....We could get something from the dollar menu?" Rapheal suggested, Y/N deadpanned at him, "Well, yeah, but don't they only have burgers on there?? The McDonald's burgers are nasty as fuck." Y/N sneers, Rapheal was about to rebuttal when his eyes meet a group of people, around Y/N's age, running over to him. Rapheal looks back at Y/N, "Do you....know these people?"

Y/N looks over and his face drops "...Fuck. There old friends from high school, I lost touch with them after I tried to go to college, and obviously you can see how well THAT went." Y/N grimaced, his fists clenching slightly.

A girl got to him first, hugging Y/N tightly, making him twitch in slight pain, Then the three others joined in. "Y/N! Its been SO long! How have you been?! You look great!" Y/N clenched his fists and put on his best fake smile. "Oh hey guys! Ive been.....great. Just great." The group smiled, looking over and finally noticing Rapheal, and they all smirked towards Y/N.

"OOooo!~ Y/N! Is this your boyfriend?! He certainly looks cute!" The main girl walks up to him and eyes Raph up and down, "My name is Eleanor, And over there is Audrey, Pamala, and Yaroslava, but you can just call her Yaro." Eleanor coos, Raph laughing nervously and Y/N clenching his fists tighter.

"Haha!~ Stop being such a player, Eleanor! That's Y/N's man!" Audrey calls out, giggling. Y/N groans angrily "He is not my fucking boyfriend Eleanor. Back off." Y/N spat, glaring daggers at Eleanor. She quickly backs away from Rapheal, laughing. "Okay, okay Y/N. I'll back off, silly thing!" She said sweetly, but Y/N could tell her voice had a gripe. And he gritted his teeth out of frustration at her in his words, "Pure bullshittery", but soon took a deep breath and calmed his ragged breathing, putting on a forced smile.

"Sooo...Eleanor, where a bit....Busy right now so if you could leave that would be great and wonderful." he said in his best 'costumer service' voice. Eleanor laughed and raised a brow, smirking, Y/N wanted to wipe the stupid smug smile off her stupid face with her stupid dyed hair and stupid cool piercings and stupi- "Mmmmh....No. I don't think I will." His train of thought was interrupted by Eleanor's 'Holier than thou' tone, he bit back a snarky remark, and Y/N sighed, exasperated, he looked back at Rapheal, Rapheal giving him an uncomfortable smile.

"Great! Cool! Wonderful! Well, we where just going to get some food so..." Y/N said, giving a strained wide smile. Eleanor hummed "Well, I brought some lunch!" Eleanor exclaimed, holding up her purse "How about we walk over to the park that's not too far from here and have a picnic?" Elenor asked innocently enough, Y/N and Rapheal sighed, Y/N nodding begrudgingly, he couldn't pass up free food. "Yeah, sure, fine." He grumbled, Eleanor smiled wider and ushered her posse and Y/N and Rapheal down the street, approaching the community park, Y/N crossed his arms and started to follow them, pulling Rapheal with him.

Once they got into the park, Eleanor led them all to a table by the playground and sat with her posse, pulling out some sandwiches from her bag and laying them out for all of them "Good thing I made extras!" Eleanor giggled, eyeing Y/N, Y/N simply glared.

"So, Rapheal, what do you do for a living? Whats yourrr....Backstory, per-se?" Pamala asked, smiling flirtatiously at him, Y/N was cursing her out in his mind, they where supposed to be focusing on GABRIEL; Not being buddy-buddy with old bitchy high school friends and going all mushy-gushy for one another! Rapheal laughed nervously "I..Uhm...I'm a...Street photographer, I guess." He shrugged, Y/N blinked, humming, he always thought street photography was pretty nice, he liked viewing all kinds of different forms of art, it was relaxing sometimes as well.
