"Maybe you should go with your friends Eren," Levi said, turning around like I was already gone. "No." I said and Levi turned back around to face me looking astonished. "Armin, go ahead. I would like to finish my conversation with Levi," I said. Armin looked at me desperately, I could tell he didn't trust Levi at all, but he began to back up. "Goodnight Armin," Levi called over his shoulder towards Armin's disappearing figure.
I turned to watch Armin meet with the rest of the group who were all staring at Levi. I saw Jean start snickering to Marco and I felt my face flare up in anger, I knew exactly what he was thinking. "What is it Eren?" Levi asked calling me back towards him. "Oh, nothing, just wanted to make sure they actually leave," I would deal with Jean later, I thought.
"Why didn't you just leave?" Levi asked, a small smile creeping on his lips. "We were having a conversation weren't we? It would have been rude to just leave in the middle," I said finding myself starting to smile once again. I couldn't help but to think Levi had the most cute smile. No I can't think of Levi as cute. What was I thinking? "God, I need another shot" I said and Levi let out an amused snort.
"I don't think you can handle another shot Eren, you can't even speak straight," he said shaking his head. I let out a dignified sigh. "Only one way to find out," I said and got the bartender to give me another shot. Levi and I sat and talked about the Survey Corps and he gave me some advice for training, but soon the club was closing.
Levi walked me outside, the whole time grabbing into my arm to keep me from falling, as I was swaying back and forth. The air was cool and damp, and the sky way very dark. The closest streetlamp was out so it was impossible to see anything. "Would you like a ride home Eren?" He asked, and I shook my head. "No I don't want to be a bother, i'll find a cab eventually." "No you won't, it's impossible to find a cab this late. Come, it's no bother." Levi said and I shrugged my shoulders. He began to lead me towards his car when I lost footing and began to fall. I closed my eyes and braced for the impact of the hard ground, but a few seconds passed and there was nothing. I slowly opened my eyes and they widened in surprise. Levi had turned around and caught me in his arms right before I fell, and my face was inches from his rapidly beating chest. I looked up and saw the slight pink of his cheeks and knew that mine were pink to match.
