Cameron saw less of Lizzie after going back to New York, but she doesn't blame her girlfriend. She was offered a role in Silent House, and Cameron knew only an idiot would turn down a role. But it meant their New York flat was down to one person and seeing as no one was willing to share a room, Cameron gotta keep the master bedroom for when Lizzie does come back. She flew back to NYU for her test, but other than that, she had been relying heavily on Aaron's notes to carry her through her classes.

"What do you think is the quickest way to kill someone? Choking them with one's thighs or shooting them through the heart?" Cameron looked up from her laptop, only to be met with two sets of wide eyes. Aaron and Evelyn exchanged a look before moving closer to the brunette. Evelyn placed a hand on Cameron's forehead.

"Are you okay? We know you've been missing Lizzie but you really don't have to contemplate murder, honey," Evelyn gave Cameron a motherly look and batted her hand away. "I mean I can pay for an amazing lawyer but-"

"Cammy, I don't want to be rude, but you will not survive prison," Aaron pointed out. He ignored Cameron's murderous glare and shoved a handful of chips into his mouth before going back to his football games.

Cameron hit Aaron over the head with a pillow. "I could definitely survive prison! And not that you asked, but this is for my story."

Evelyn perked up immediately and jumped up. "Ooh! Wait, can I read it, please? You never show it to me. And I've been hearing so much teaser about it. And now potential murder is in it?!"

"It's on its final draft, I'm sending it to an agency soon, don't get your hopes up yet," Cameron grinned, shutting her laptop down. Before Evelyn could reply, Cameron's phone started ringing and her eyes lit up when she saw Taylor's name.

"Is it Lizzie?" Aaron looked up at the mention of Lizzie's name, but Cameron shook her head.

"Nope, just Taylor," Cameron grinned, getting up and grabbing her laptop. "I'll see you lads later."

Evelyn had an unreadable expression on her face and Aaron lost interest and went back to his football game. Cameron decided to push it away to her 'deal with later' box. She has a call with her best friend for now.

"Hey Taylor, what's up?"

Her cherry smile faded when she heard a sob from the other end of the line. "Taylor? What's wrong?"

"I'm outside, please, I need you." Her voice sounded so small and Cameron's heart broke for her best friend. She quickly placed her laptop on her desk before going out of her room, shooting both Evelyn and Aaron a threatening look.

"This is best friend business, just pretend you aren't here," Cameron pointed a finger at both of them before opening the front door, to find her best friend standing there with red puffy eyes. She ushed Taylor in and led her to her bedroom. Taylor had Cameron's address for a while but she never got a chance to visit. Cameron shut the door as soon as Taylor got through and pulled the crying woman into her arms.

Taylor fell apart, and Cameron gently brought Taylor to the floor with her so that they were leaning against her bed. "What happened? Who do I need to murder?"

"You won't survive prison," Taylor mumbled into her shoulder, her hand clung tightly around Cameron's t-shirt. Cameron wrapped her arms tightly around the trembling blonde.
