The three brothers had fallen for her, hard.
The only person to ever have that effect on them.

Matteo sighed, trying to push those thoughts away.

He couldn't show weakness, couldn't let the others see that he cared about her but he couldn't shake off the feeling, and he knew his brothers couldn't either.

They loved her, obsessively.

Loved her more than they ever thought they could love someone. It was dangerous, but they couldn't help it.

She was theirs.

"We need to be careful," Matteo said, his voice softer than usual. "We want her to fall in love with us, not make her hate us."

The other two brothers nodded, understanding his concern.

They all wanted her to love them, not fear them. But this was a delicate process. She was already terrified of them.

They needed to make her see that they could be more than just her captors.

"We have to be patient," Elijah said. "She needs time."

Matteo's watch indicated that about 5 hours had passed since breakfast.

They all knew that the drug's effect should be halfway off by now.

He leaned forward in his chair and stood up."We should check on her," he said.

The other two brothers followed suit. They left the office and walked towards her room.

Matteo led the way to her door, his brothers following closely behind him.

As they approached her door, they saw his personal bodyguard, standing guard outside.

The bodyguard saw them and stepped aside, letting them in.

Matteo, Elijah, and Ace entered the room, their eyes immediately going to her form lying on the bed.

As they entered the room, they saw her lying on the bed, halfway awake but still looking exhausted and weakened.

Her eyelids were heavy, and it was clear that she was trying to fight the drowsiness that still gripped her body.

She looked up at them, her eyes hazy and disoriented.

Matteo, Elijah, and Ace approached her bed, taking in her state.

She looked so frail and helpless, it made something stir inside them.

Matteo walked up to her bedside and looked down at her.

"It's time for lunch," he said, his tone commanding yet soft.

She looked up at him, her eyes still hazy.

Elijah stepped forward and looked at her, his expression slightly softer as well.

"Can you walk on your own?" he asked, his tone more gentle than his brothers'.

She tried to sit up, but her body was still weak. Her legs trembled as she moved to get up.

Matteo looked at her, seeing that she was struggling. Elijah reached out to her, offering his hand to help her get up.

"Easy," he said softly.

She took his hand, feeling the warmth of his touch. Slowly, with his help, she managed to sit up on the bed.

Matteo saw her struggling to get up, her body still too weak. Without a word, he leaned down and picked her up, cradling her in his arms.

She was so light, almost as if she was barely there. He held her tightly, not wanting her to fall.
