The Elements of Passion

Chapter 1

I walked up to a apartment building that was brick and had a swing set in front of it. It was kids playing in front and mothers combing hair that looked like it was to hard to comb. I walked past and opened the door and water dripped on my head. I walked in to the leasing office and it was a tall, brown skin, grey haired man sitting at the desk.

"Hello, young lady may I help you?" He asked.

"Yes, Mrs Jackson from Greens Group Home for Girls sent me here to live, I'm Passion". I said. He stood up.

"Oh, yes come with me". He said guiding to another door and he opened it. It was women sitting the chair writing. She was a white women, skinny, and had blond hair.

"Leave Patrick". She said, I'm guessing to the man because he hurried out the room.

"Sit". She said. I sat my suit case down and sat in the chair.

"So your the girl Olivia sent me" She said looking at me through the rim of her glasses.

"Yes, I'm Passion".I said.

"I know, I'm miss Karen". She said.

"Now, your apartment is 5H". She said handing me a paper.

"What's this?" I asked looking at the paper.

"A lease". She said. I read it over and it was okay. I signed it.

"First six month's rent free". She said.

"I guess I need a job huh?" I said.

"Yes ma'am". She said. I stood up and grabbed my suit case and reached for the door knob.

"Thank you". I said.

"Your welcome". She said with a warm smile. I opened the door and walked out.

"Bye Patrick". I said.

"Bye Bye Passion". He said and finished writing. I walked in to the hallway and I saw a little girl running my way. She saw me and hugged me.

"Andrea, get off her!" The girl walking up said. The little girl let me go.

"I'm sorry she did that". The girl said. The girl was about my height , carmel skin, she had shoulder length hair, and a pretty smile.

"It's okay". I said.

"I'm Payton". She said.

"Passion". I said.

"Your name is beautiful". She said smiling.

"Payton I'm hungry". The girl said.

"Oh, and this is Andrea". She said.

"Is this your little sister?" I asked.

"Yea". She said.

"Well, nice meeting you I'll catch you around". She said.

"You to". I said and she walked away. "This girl and I will become great friends". I thought. I walked down to the elevator and got in. It went up five floors and stopped. I got off the elevator and walked down until I saw 5H. I took the keys out my pocket and opened the door. I walked in and the place was fully furnished. It had a purple leather couch and love seat, a glass table in the middle of a purple shaggy rug. In the kitchen was a refrigerator, a stove, and microwave, and nice marble counters with wooden cabinets. I walked down the small hallway and opened the first door I saw and it led to a small bathroom. It had a purple shower curtain, purple toilet cover, and rug. I left and opened another door to my bedroom. It had a queen size bed with purple covers and black satin pillow cases. It was a flat screen hanging on the wall. There was a dresser and walk in closet.
