ANGEL'S POV:

Mom, Dad and Uncle aren't around today because of some business. It's just me, Luke and Lance at home.

I'm in my room, having a video call with my bff, Sophie. Ang bestie ko from Taiwan. She's also a half pinay though. Well, I've been missing her so much lately.

"Gel, how's your new home?"
Ang question niya sa akin.

"It's fine. Pero it's a bit hot in here than there in Taiwan."
My answer naman.

"Did you, meet up with your *so called* online bf already? Is he surprised?"

"No! I mean, not yet. I'll just surprise him on the first day of school. You know, so I can freak the hell out of him! Hahaha!!!"
As I giggle.

"Pa freak out freak out ka pa hah!!!"
She said.

"Yes! Let's just see if ano ang reaction niya if he sees me in the same school!"
As I wink.

"Okay! By the way, ano ba gawa mo at the moment?"
Sophie asked.

"I'm still getting my things in order... Well, If you don't know, besh, may cousin kami here that will be living with us. Mag-aaral rin siya here in Cebu, same school..."

"Good to hear it. But, do you think you can vibe with your couz? Like, is she fun to be around?"

"Her? Actually our cousin is a boy."
I answered.

"O...kay. Then what? Is he, like... handsome?"
She asked curiously.

"Yes! He's handsome."
I answered.

"Sureness?"
She asked with an eager smile.

"Yes, he really is. And very manly"
I answered.

"Do you have a picture of him?" Sophie asked desperately.

"Maybe, ibibigay ko, pero  later na. I don't have any pictures of him yet ehhh..."

"Okay... I'll wait for that."
She said with a smirk.
"By the way, my shift will start soon na. You know, I still wanna chat with you but, I have to go na eh. Bye, besh..."
She said as she gives me a flying kiss.

"Bye, besh. Take care always."
As I wave my hand.

The call ends and then I close my laptop and lay down on my bed.

Suddenly, I SMELL the SCENT of ONION AND GARLIC coming from the kitchen. Mmmmm... That's making me hungry.  So, I GO OUT of my room and I WALK downstairs then I WENT TO THE KITCHEN to see what's going on.

When I enter the kitchen, I see Lance COOKING SOMETHING while si Luke naman is TALKING while nanonood sa kaniya.

"Oh! Ate, nandiyan ka pala."
Luke said.

Lance turns his head to me and smiles.

"Hi, Gel! Good morning."
He said with a smile.

"Good morning, Lance! Wassup?"
I said while smiling back.

"I'm cooking my mom's specialty; Adobong Manok with Pineapple Tidbits. TANGTARARANG!!!"
Lance's answer in a funny way.

"That really seems... delicious."
I said.

"Yes! Best food in the world this is, insan. Hahaha."
Lance's reply in a clown-like manner while mixing.

This man's behavior is just really unusual. He is like, very manly and quietly charismatic but he can also become very chucklesome at times.

Later, naka set na Ang mga tables and mga plates. Lance is serving the dish to us just like how our mom does. I think he's heart is just very thoughtful for his masculine look though. Then, Luke takes a bite.

"Ansarap naman nito, kuya Lance."
Luke said.

"Oh, di'ba?"
Lance said with a wink.

"Ate, e try mo na!"
Luke said to me.

I took a piece of the chicken meat and bites. WOAH! THIS IS DIFFERENT. I can't really believe how DELICIOUS it is.

"Ansarap mo pala, Couz."
I said while being ecstatic to the taste sa niluto niyang dish.

Luke intensely looks at me with widely-opened eyes, like, ano bang sinabi ko...

"Ang chicken ba ate, or si kuya Lance mismo?"
Luke said.

"What do you mean?"
I asked.

"Sabi mo kasi, 'Ansarap mo pala, couz.' Eh nag-ooverthink na ako."
Luke said.

What the... WHAT DID I JUST SAY???

"Ah... I mean, the chicken is delicious."
I clarify.
"I'm so sorry for that, couz."
I said to Lance with a bit of embarrassment.

Lance smirks and he's have that RIZZING aura again.

"It's fine. I also think the same, though."
He said.

Luke stares at Lance too...

"Ano, kuya? Sa manok ba, or kay ate?"
Luke asked with a raised eyebrow.

WHAT... THE... Did he just say... OH MY... Does he think I'm... UGHHH!!! I really think the same towards him. But you know, we're talking about the dish...

"Of course, itong manok!"
Lance said.
"But, masarap rin naman si Angel eh..."
As he looks at me intently with a friendly smile.

WHAT? MASARAP? ME? WHAT THE HECK!!! He just said it on my face. This guy's... Wait, is he RIZZING me? WHAT THE HELL! Are you kidding me, couz?

"I mean, (clears throat) Alam mo, Gel, sa first day of classes pa lang, sure akong marami nang manliligaw sa'yo."
He said with a smile.

"O...kay?"
I answered.

"Ahhh... Kasi ano... Alam mo na... Maganda ka kasi tas... Mabait. Friendly pa tas cool... At yun.... Alam mo na..."

WHAT'S HAPPENING TO HIM? He's like...  very LUTANG in the moment.

"...Alam mo na, Ikaw kasi ang type ng babae na... ideal girl ng mga lalaki ehhh. Sayang nga lang... dahil...

Well, bigla siyang nag stop sa pagsasalita. He's still lutang and it seems like, his mind is nowhere. Moments later, biglang...

"(clears throat) Wait! Ano bang sinabi ko?"
He said like he snapped out from a hypnosis.

WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT? Does that mean, HE SUBCONSCIOUSLY LIKES ME? And nanghihinayang siya... because we're cousins? OHHH BOYYY!!!

"Ah!!! You said nothing, couz. Sige! Let's eat nalang. Masarap kasi ang niluto mong dish eh..."
I said with a smile.

"Oo nga, hehehe... Kain na lang tayo. And by the way, I'm glad you loved it though."
He said while smiling.

"No problem... Thanks din for cooking this dish."
As I smile before starting to eat again.

Is there something wrong with this guy? But you know, I find him really ATTRACTIVE and APPEALING especially when he gets awkward. Maybe because he's a bit introverted and polite.

You see, he's INTELLIGENT, GROUNDED, has a well-developed MINDSET and lastly, he definetely can COOK. YUMMY ang dish na niluto niya eh. It's just a shame that HE'S MY COUZ and, I need to just treat him that way.

We goof around while eating our lunch tho...
