"I never want to see you again, Dabi."

And then she was walking away and she didn't look back.

Not once.

I awoke with a start, my heart beating 100/mph. I reached for Kazemi. My hand met silky hair and I let out the breath I didn't know I was holding.

I turned to my side and wrapped my arm around her small waist, pulling her closer to me. I buried my face in her hair, taking in her scent of lavender and coconut.

I let the feeling of Kazemi finally back in my arms again wash over me as I dozed off.

•••

"Why did you come back?" I asked Kazemi.

We were lying in my bed, still cuddling up since I was still sore. We haven't left the room since Kazemi helped walk me back to bed. Toga came to give us the soba she made before going home to Twice. I am not a cuddly person. At least I don't believe I am. However, having Kazemi in my arms again felt nice. Normal.

I wasn't prepared for Kazemi's answer as she sat up to meet my eyes. I gulped at the raw emotion in her big brown doe eyes.

My breath hitched when Kazemi gripped my face in her soft hands and said, "I came back because I love you, Dabi. You don't have to say it back, but just know I'm not going anywhere."

It's times like this that I wish I could cry.

"Promise." I blurted. "Promise me that you will stay."

Kazemi kissed my lips softly. "I promise, Dabi. Always."

I let out the breath I didn't know I was holding and pulled Kazemi onto my lap to deepen her kiss.

Oh, how I've missed the little moan she makes when I kiss her just right and the feeling of her fingers running through my hair.

"I missed you." I said as we pulled away from each other.

"I missed you, too." Kazemi smiled. "I do have a question."

I nodded, brushing the flyaways from her white and black bun behind her ear.

"Was Toga my replacement?"

I rose a brow. "Replacement?"

I could never replace Kazemi. I don't know why she was asking— "Oh, god no!" I burst out laughing so hard my stomach hurt. "Are you asking if Toga and I have fucked?"

Kazemi bit her full bottom lip, looking down at her black nails. "...yeah...?"

"Jesus, Baby Doll," I chuckled. "Toga is engaged. Plus, she's like a little sister to me."

I could see the embarrassment on her cheeks as she blushed deeply. "Oh."

"I have another question," Kazemi asked as I situated her more comfortably in my lap, resting my hands on her hips.

"Mm-hmm," I hummed.

I sighed when Kazemi ran her fingers through my hair, calm rushing over me. "What did you do to your hair?"

My stomach fluttered. I've never told anyone about my hair. I'm insecure about it, but last night I couldn't find the energy to dye it back after my shower. It was back to its natural white. I was nervous that she didn't like it.

"It was red when I was born but turned white as I grew older," I explained, "I dye it with ashes."

The crooked grin that spread on Kazemi's face calmed my nerves. "I like it."

"You do?" I was surprised.

"Yeah, keep it like this; it's unique."

"I will." I felt my cheeks heat.

I'd do anything for you, Kazemi.

It was quiet for a long moment. I saw many emotions cross Kazemi's beautiful face. Anxiety, guilt and confusion were a few of them.

"What is it?" I urged.

"Why did you break things off?"

I gulped. I knew this was coming, I just didn't know when.

"My boss threatened to kill you if I didn't start focusing more on missions," I said softly. "I couldn't risk you getting hurt."

I couldn't read the powerful expression on her face as she said, "I have a gun for a reason."

"Yes. but he's unpredictable and childish."

"He shouldn't be a boss then," Kazemi rushed. "This boss dude wants to take you from me just because you're happy? That's bullshit!"

My jaw dropped. I have never seen the absolute murderous expression in Kazemi's eyes before. If she was hot before, now she's the sexiest woman I've ever met.

I don't care anymore. Kazemi is mine and I'll be damned if I let Shigaraki take her from me.

"Be my girlfriend." I blurted before I could think about it first.

It seemed to surprise her because the murderous look on her face vanished. Then she was smiling and it was luminous, her eyes sparkling. She kissed me, soft and sweet.

"Only if you take me on a date," Kazemi bargained.

The smile on my face would have hurt my staples if Kazemi wasn't in my arms. "I'll take you on a million dates if that means you'll be mine."

Kazemi kissed my cheek. "I'm already yours, Dabi."
