In the next morning,
"Good morning, world. Hopefully, everything is going to be alright for today." Y/N woke up from the bed, get into the shower then put up her school uniform and head downstairs to prepare her own breakfast which consist of a freshly toasted bread, a half fried egg and a glass of milk. After having a simple yet delicious breakfast, she grabbed her necessary items and placed them into her bag before leaving her house to school.
After the devastating loss of both of her parents in an accident back when she was in middle school, Y/N found herself grappling with grief and helplessness. She was also involved in the accident, but she somehow survived. She had no one else and had to live on her own since that day. The experience left a void in her heart, but also planted the seeds of a new dream where she received many words of encouragement and supports from the frontliners especially the nurses. Driven by a deep desire to make a difference in the world and to help others as well, Y/N decided to channel her sorrow into a purposeful career in nursing. The tragedy from her experience had became an inspiration as she resolved to use her empathy and resilience to care for others. That was why, Y/N would always hang out with Ichiro-chan (the school's nurse) to learn more about the nursing world as a preparation for her journey to become a compassionate nurse one day. The nurse's office has become her second home and she considered Ichiro-chan as her own family, more like a big sister to her.
*RINGGGGGGG* (the school bell rang and it's the end of school)
As school has ended, Y/N packed her books and other stuffs and straight away walked to the nurse's office for her "extra" lessons with Ichiro. As she arrived at the nurse's office, she saw a paper sticked on the front door. She looked at it and read what was written on it:
THE NURSE IS NEEDED AT THE HOSPITAL RIGHT NOW (sorry Y/N, it seems like I owe you one extra lesson)
"Ah, nevermind. I guess It's my day off for today," she said with a smile on her face. Then, she continued her walk to the school's gate, but decided to take a longer route instead because she planned to take some fresh air before heading home. The longer route that she took would need her to walk pass the school's gym where the boy's volleyball team was practicing.
As she was walking while humming her favourite song, she suddenly heard a commotion that took place in the gym. Out of the blue, she saw someone walking out from the door of the gym. The guy with a deep, jet-black colour with a prominent cowlick on the top of his head (not to mentioned he was also tall and quite muscular) was running frantically and lock his eyes towards Y/N. They both made eye contact and seemed to recognize each other for an instance. Oh, it's her....Kuroo muttered in his thoughts. Without hesitation, Kuroo rushed towards Y/N.
"Hey, I really need your help right now. One of my teammate is hurt," he said anxiously.
Without even asking, Y/N quickly ran to the gym along side Kuroo. She saw a tall and striking figure with a light blonde hair boy was sitting on the floor in pain while holding onto his left elbow. To be able to do her job, she managed to asked everyone (the volleyball players) to back off a little. Y/N then checked on the elbow of the tall boy. She made a thorough check on the boy and exhaled a gentle sigh, and then smiled.
"He's completely fine. No fractured bones or anything, it's just a little scratch and a minor wound," she announced. The volleyball players exhaled softly with a sigh, mind finding a brief moment of peace especially Kuroo. Y/N then asked if they have an emergency kit in the gym so that she can tend the boy's wound. One of the player then grabbed the emergency kit and handed it over to Y/N.
Thank goodness you're here, little nurse....Kuroo muttered softly.
