Dragon (龙, Lóng)

Appearance: Serpentine creatures with the body of a snake, scales, four legs with claws, and a pair of antler-like horns.Abilities: Control over weather, especially rain and floods, flight without wings, immense strength, and wisdom. Dragons are often seen as benevolent and powerful protectors.

Qilin (麒麟)

Appearance: A chimera-like creature with the body of a deer, the tail of an ox, hooves of a horse, and covered in fish-like scales. It sometimes has a single horn on its forehead.Abilities: Brings good fortune and peace, can walk on grass without disturbing it, and only appears during the reign of a benevolent ruler or the birth of a sage.

Nine-Tailed Fox (九尾狐, Jiuwei Hu)

Appearance: A fox with nine tails.Abilities: Shape-shifting, enhanced longevity, intelligence, and magical abilities. Some legends portray them as benevolent, while others as mischievous or malevolent.

Nian (年)

Appearance: A monstrous creature with the body of a bull and the head of a lion.Abilities: Great strength, terrorizing villages, especially during the Chinese New Year. It fears loud noises, fire, and the color red, which are used to ward it off.

Huli Jing (狐狸精)

Appearance: A fox spirit that can transform into a beautiful woman.Abilities: Shape-shifting, seduction, and magic. Often depicted as either malevolent or benevolent, depending on the tale.

Taotie (饕餮)

Appearance: A gluttonous monster often depicted with a face that consists of only a mouth and eyes, sometimes on a distorted body.Abilities: Insatiable appetite, devouring anything and everything, symbolizing greed and excess.

Jiangshi (僵尸)

Appearance: A reanimated corpse with a stiff, hopping gait, dressed in traditional Qing Dynasty attire.Abilities: Drains life force (qi) from living beings, superhuman strength, and sometimes the ability to fly. It can be warded off by using Taoist talismans, mirrors, and other protective measures.

Fenghuang (凤凰)

Appearance: A mythical bird often described as a fusion of various birds like a peacock, pheasant, and parrot, with vibrant and fiery plumage.Abilities: Symbolizes virtue, grace, and prosperity. It is said to appear in times of peace and prosperity.

Bai Ze (白泽)

Appearance: A creature with the body of a bull, the face of a human, and multiple eyes on its sides.Abilities: Possesses extensive knowledge of supernatural creatures and their weaknesses, which it shares with humans to help them ward off evil spirits.
