end of the school year

as expected, I passed! now I'm a genin and next month I'll be assigned to a team.

I was returning home with my new headband while staring at it in awe.

"ah so you must be Kaguya-chan..? Kenji-kun was right.." a strange man with long black hair and snake eyes kneeled before me. he had long hair and.. the eyes of a snake.

"who are you?" I asked moving backwards

"don't worry, im not here to hurt you. your brother told me a lot about you.."

"why do you know my brother?"

"that's not something relevant. I wanted to congratulate myself with you for your new headband"

who the hell is this guy..?

I stared at him in confusion not knowing what to do. my brother wasn't someone to be trusted, so how could I trust who I presume was his master?

"what do you want for real..? you should know my brother is not in the village at the moment" I said

"hah, you are smart. I actually wanted to see if your eyes.. were as green as he claimed them to  be"

before I could even say anything he grabbed my face and stares at me deep in the eyes.

"have you ever seen your brother's pictures of him when he was younger? were his eyes as bright as yours?"

I nod.

by bright he meant green, shiny, as if they emit light. it's something everyone tells the kids in my clan. we have green eyes but at a certain age they become dark

"it's weird how yours haven't faded even after the so called traumatic event.. maybe you really might be the one" the man smirked while moving away.

I asked him who he was, but a second before disappearing, all he answered was:"Orochimaru is the name, but don't worry.. we'll meet again soon enough"

break passed by and it was now the moment to discover who would be in my team

"Tsukumo Kaguya, Uchiha Sasuke, Haruno Sakura and Uzumaki Naruto!" the teacher announces "your sensei will be Kakashi Hatake!" a four people team? that's a new one...

Sasuke? cold and uncooperative

Sakura? never talked much, but I can't say I hate her

Naruto? the only one i'm actually friends with.

as soon as we reached the room in which we had to meet the new sensei, Sakura came over to me:

"Kaguya-chan, right?" she said with a smile as I nodded

"I heard a lot about you. you are a smart girl, so I'll say it once: stay away from Sasuke-kun and we can be friends..!" she said as I chuckled getting that anything I would've said say would've made things weird.

we all sat down and waited, but Kakashi was still nowhere around to be seen.

Naruto had prepared a trap as some sort of revenge and after we all went to sit on some stair outside with pranked Kakashi.

"alright guys, you'll tell me your name, what you don't like, what you like and your dream" Kakashi said sitting in front of us.

"you should start!" Naruto says angrily as Kakashi sighed

"I'm Hatake Kakashi, i won't tell you what I like, don't like or my dreams"

"you practically said nothing! anyway.. I'm Uzumaki Naruto! I like Ramen and dislike.. Sasuke! my dream is to become Hokage!"

"I'm Haruno Sakura..! I like uh.. *she glanced at Sasuke* and my biggest dream is.. someone.. *she glanced at Sasuke again* and I dislike Naruto" Sakura glares at Naruto as he acts offended.

"I'm Uchiha Sasuke. I dislike many things, don't like anything in particular. and I don't have a dream but an ambition, that is to kill a certain someone"

Kakashi then glanced at me

"I'm Tsukumo Kaguya. my dream is to become the strongest ANBU. I don't like insects.. but I really like running..!"

I said it with all the courage I had. being extroverted is hard, especially when you have to talk about yourself.

suddenly Kakashi stood up.

"great, see you tomorrow morning, remember not to eat anything for breakfast!" he said before disappearing

we all went our separate ways to get home but for some reason the Uchiha followed me.

"Kaguya, why becoming the strongest ANBU?" he asked

"because that's what I want to be"

"i got it dumbass, you've been saying it your whole life, but why? no one really knows why"

"because I want to look at someone with pride" I said looking at him with a  smile.

"hm.. whatever" he said not daring to look straight at me

with that I continued walking onwards as he too got home.

it's been a short conversation but it reminded me of something..

"Sasuke-kun!" little Kaguya yelled through the street as the little boy flinched looking away

"Kaguya...?! I told you to stop yelling my name from afar!" he scolded her with no anger in his voice as she just laughed.

they walked home together everyday.

"Sasuke-kun, Itachi-san is an ANBU right?" she asked curiously

"why do you want to know about him?! I'm stronger!" he pouted as she stared at him

"don't be silly! he's so talented! Im glad he protects us" she smiled as he groaned silently

"hn... I could do it better" he said quietly, but she heard.
