ᯓᡣ𐭩ᯓᡣ𐭩"Hm...police officer uniforms?" You asked in curiosity as you eyed them in Tengen's hands. "We have to wear those instead of our demon slayer uniforms?"
"Mhm." Tengen hummed in agreement. "Since policemen are crawling everywhere, we could get into serious trouble if we wander around the streets with our swords in sight. It's not common after all."
"So we have to dress up as Policemen?" You beamed as you happily took one of the uniforms as he handed it to you.
"Pretty much. It helps for us to blend in easier." Tengen explained. Being in a big town that's crawling with policemen, you'd wonder why there was a demon wandering around. But demons seem to multiply fast, so it makes sense. Not to mention, an average sword or gun cannot kill the demon even if they tried to.
"Please excuse me." You excused yourself as you made your way to the bathroom to change into your uniform.
It was a bit tight on the waist and a bit baggy in some places, and it had a few loose pieces of fabric hanging off of your body here and there but overall it looked good on you. When you were done changing and tying the laces of the uniform, you exited the bathroom and joined Tengen back into the room."So it fits," Tengen commented while looking at you with a smile. "And here I thought I had to find another for you."
"It's a bit tight but nothing too much. It fits just right." You reassured with a smile before taking out a snack you brought with you as you asked, "Tengen, do we have any information on the demon we have to hunt down?"
Tengen let out a sigh, running a hand through his hair as he glanced towards the window before letting out a defeated sound of defeat. "We don't have any information about it yet...The best thing we could do is ask questions around the civilians if they had heard any suspicious activities has been going around."
"Good idea!" You exclaimed cheerfully.
"And since we're in police uniforms they won't suspect us being armed with our swords!""Even with my rats, you have a point." Tengen let out a satisfied huff as he nodded too. "Sounds perfect. We'll end this mission in a flash."
"But..." You pointed at yourself as your eyes turned into dots. "Aren't I a little bit too young to be a police officer?"
"It's easy enough to sneak a badge into your pocket," Tengen replied calmly.
You blinked at him in surprise. "Really?! YOU HAVE A FAKE BADGE??" You exclaimed a bit too loudly.
Tengen merely laughed at your outburst before responding in a smug voice, "Of course! I'm prepared for all sorts of things! I am your master, after all!"
"COOL!" A grin appeared on your face as you high-fived Tengen. In the corner of your eye, you saw Guoba sitting up slowly from his sleep.
"Gah! I think I was being too loud..."
You muttered under your breath as you covered your mouth and smiled awkwardly at Tengen while he simply chuckled.
"Don't worry about it, take care of your pet for a minute while I put on the outfit," Tengen told you before leaving the room, you nodded eagerly before making your way over to Guoba and squatting beside him.
He blinked at you and yawned softly, reaching out to pat your cheek gently. You let out a giggle at his cuteness and patted him back, smiling.
"Good Evening, Guoba." You greeted as the small creature gave you an affectionate look. "I hope I haven't woken you up."
