"This is it?"

"Ya!" You exclaimed with a smile, while Tengen stared up at the restaurant bored.

"So...this is it?"

"Yes."

The two of you stood there as civilians passed, some of them giving you weird looks.  You didn't pay much attention to them, however, as you focused on the restaurant before you.  Or more like, Tengen was examining it from the outside.

"Ikuzo."

With a nod, you went inside. The pleasant aroma of beef stock and various vegetables wafted past your nose. It smelled delicious. You're not gonna lie, it made you a bit hungry. Unlike when you came here the other day, there were lots of tables filled with customers.

"There's quite a number of customers today." You gave a comment. "I will try and find the chef."

You left Tengen behind and made your way over to the counter. There was indeed a large amount of customers here. However, what surprised you was a very familiar-looking man. Standing behind the counter was the man you met. Right, you just realized...what is his name? You sweatdropped, thinking about how to approach the man. After contemplating for a moment, you just decided to call out for the man.

The moment you saw him, a bright smile of yours immediately greeted him.

"Hello!"  You called out cheerfully as you approached the counter.
Before you knew it, the man was right in front of you. He looked pretty tired but a smile still formed on his face.

"Good evening, officer (Last Name)." He greeted you with a slight bow which you shook your head at.

"Nah, please, don't bow, Chef-san." You suggested.

"Chef-san?" The man raised a brow at you.

You nodded your head and smiled at him."...Yeah," you scratched the side of your neck nervously. "I don't know your name, Mister. Sorry. But would you mind if me and my partner took you outside to talk?"

The man chuckled slightly and nodded his head before saying.
"Of course."

The moment you spoke the words 'outside', Tengen immediately appeared next to you, placing his arm around your shoulder as if it was normal for a man as old as him with a girl like you to go outside together. 

"You're the chef who runs this place, eh...?" Tengen mused. "Not flashy outside but it smells amazing in here!"

You glanced at Tengen before looking back at the man who was blushing at his compliment.

"A-ah, Thank you, Officer."

You let out an awkward chuckle, scratching your cheek as you felt the attention shift in your area. In the corner of your eyes, you saw a few women staring at Tengen and whispering to each other, most likely gossiping about him. You felt extremely uncomfortable and wished that you Tengen weren't too attractive to the point that all eyes were on the two of you.

"Can we please go outside for privacy?"  You whispered quietly to Tengen. The man gave you an amused glance before shrugging his shoulders. "Alright," he said in a casual tone.

"May I ask what this is all about, Officer (Name)?" The chef of the restaurant asked.

"The disappearance of young women," Tengen answered immediate𝐭ly. "You told my partner here that there are cases of abduction and disappearance of young women, correct?"
