Giyuu's Pov
I knew Shinobu was watching me, as her scent was strong, indicating the fact that she's nearby. Right, I'm basically outside her estate at the moment.
I wrapped my arms around her neck and covered her mouth. Fearfulness radiated off of her, the blood in her face draining, leaving her paler that I liked. I spoke with an undertone into her ears, my lips grazing them.
"Keep your mouth shut, darling." (Ik Giyuu wouldn't say that but yk) My voice cold and dominating, yet gentle.
Shinobu stood there frozen, and I let go of my grip on her. She was genuinely terrified, guess I came off to strong. She somehow calmed herself down, I wonder how she's able to slip masks off so easily. It's a anxious mask, and now it's been replaced with an emotionless one. She parted her lips and began to speak, trying her best not to stutter and appear weaker than she already is.
"It depends whether or not I will." She began, finally taking her first few steps in a while. "Evil or good."
"That's for you to decided, don't you trust me? Darling?" I shot back.
Her gaze softened up just a little bit, but she still kept her guard up. Looking down at the floor, she bit the inside of her mouth, brow furrowing slightly. Thinking a bit too hard.
"Fine. I'll trust you, just this once. If you ever attack a human, it's trust broken." She made her decision.
Now that I've gained her trust, I need to bring something up that's quite important.
"Minor detail; I need blood to survive." I began to explain. "I don't need human flesh though, only blood."
"What are you trying to imply?" Her words sharp and piercing.
"Make a deal with me,"
"Elaborate."
"Blood pack. Form a blood pack with me." I stated.
Her eyes widened a bit before she spoke. "So I'm your personal blood supply?"
"Exactly." I replied in short, before speaking again. "Only a little bit, you don't need to worry,"
"Fine." Her reply was quite quick, which surprised me slightly. "What's my side of the deal then?" I see. She wants something in return.
"Simple, protection against demons," I said normally.
"It's not like you're in control of every demon out there. That's impossible," replying in a matter of seconds, her intelligence shone through her words.
"Right, what if I am?"
My statement left her staring at me in disbelief, her trust crumbling, but restored back into place.
Shinobu's Pov
"Right, what if I am?" His voice rang in my head, harsh, yet so gentle.
My gaze never left him, I was staring like an idiot in disbelief. My trust for him falling rapidly, though I was able to gather it up again. Gaze changing, it asked a question on its on. "You can't be serious right?" My eyes asked.
"Why do you think no one sense a demon nearby even though I clearly am one? Though I'm not sure in appearance," my question asked with a look, answered with words.
"There's something else I need to inform you about, marking" his words pierced me, my recollection of reading that in a book striking back. Demons marking both races, meaning no other demon can touch their partner. Is he implying that he wants to mark me? A sense of realisation washed over Tomioka's face; he knew I knew.
