The mistake he made. So many mistakes!

Morning. Every morning, Tinky Winky felt tired. He worked night shifts so White wouldn't waste his paycheck on them. But this work gradually felt like it was killing his body from the inside out. He wanted to sleep. Just a little more...
He didn't hear the door open softly. And little footsteps crept into his room.
"RISE AND SHINE, BIG BROTHER!" - screamed the red lump, landing on his brother's belly.
Tinky Winky screamed in pain. It seemed like his insides were about to come out through him.
"PO! That... kha! That was painful!" - he moaned.
His little sister, perched on his stomach, just watched with an apologetic look.
"Sorry, you just didn't wake up. And Wyatt's gathering us all in the kitchen! He has something to tell us. I hope it's that I'm finally going to school. Because of this war, they won't rebuild all the schools yet. Or like White says, there's no money for it yet." - the little girl mumbled.
He didn't want to see anyone today. It was his day off. But if he didn't show up, White would kick his ass. He wasn't the teenager he'd been when White had taken them in. And he wanted to talk to White on a level playing field, but he said 19 wasn't the time to talk about his independence. Which was a lie.
"Tell him I'll be right there." - he smiled weakly at his sister.
She nodded and jumped off the bed and ran to the kitchen. Tinky curled up and tried to calm his stomach.
It took him almost an hour to get to the kitchen, White was jumpy today. But he immediately realized that Tinky had a stomachache and asked if it was related to his work. To which he shook his head. He then took a seat near his brother and sister.
"Great... Now we're all set." - White cleared his throat. - "I've gathered you to announce some very important news."
"What news?" - La-la asked with interest.
"Well... First, it has to do with my job. They want to transfer me to another prison. A more secure and smaller one. But I haven't decided on that yet." - he was nervously stroking his hands. - "Two... We're going to have to part ways with you."
All four Teletubbies immediately stood up from the table and shouted with glee «WHAT?!».
White had expected this, and so he began to explain everything to them. They weren't his children, and two of them were still minors. Yes, he was their guardian... But White could admit that here and now he was powerless. White was a bad uncle, and he was well aware of that. He was a guard, in prison.
Where all the brutal mercenaries and murderers of their country were held. He couldn't be gentle with them. Which caused the children sitting in front of him to grow up strict. Yes, his strictness might have had little effect on Tinky Winky and Dipsy, but with La-La and Poe it was more complicated.
"White... You're leaving us, why?" - Dipsy asked puzzled.
Their adopted "uncle" didn't answer anything, just nodded weakly.
"You're just a coward." - Tinky Winky mumbled to himself, and got an angry look from their guardian.
