Chapter 16 : So, who's coming?

LOCATION : HOKAGE'S TOWER, GUEST ROOM

Hikari was sitting at the middle of the room with her subordinates standing behind her in a semicircle. The others are sitting either across her or standing around her. The room was in complete silence, no one knows what to talk about. Hikari giggled, the others immediately turned their attentions to her.

"You guys are so stiff!" Hikari bluntly said. "And here I thought you would bombarded me with questions as soon as you know."

"We would if we know what to say." Kiba said.

Hikari entered a thinking pose, "Hmmmm...what about catching up on the past few years?"

Sasuke stiffened at her question. While the others' face lit up. Kiba puffed his chest out along with Akamaru as he laid his hands on his hips.

"Well, here's a breaking news!" He shouted gaining everyone's attention. "I'm a chunin!" And everyone aside from the Soul Reapers anime-fall.

Sakura stood up angrily and immediately punched Kiba in the head. "YOU IDIOT!!! ALL OF US ARE AT LEAST CHUNIN! NOT JUST YOU!"

Kiba held his head as Akamaru nudged him on the side, "Gezzzzz Sakura...no need to get so worked up over it." Akamaru barked in agreement.

"HOW CAN I NOT?! THAT WAS SO STUPID!!!"

Hakuren shuddered, "Scary..." he muttered. Sakura's ear twitched.

Teito who was standing beside him raised an eyebrow, "Really? Guess you haven't gotten rid of your trauma huh?" He mused.

Hakuren was about to answer when he felt a murderous aura behind him and shuddered. "Did I heard that right?" Sakura muttered as her eyes glow red.

Hakuren went white while the others gave him a pitying look and proceed to move away from the two. Sakura brought her hand back, her expression promised pain.

'TRAITORRRRRSSSSSSSSSS' Hakuren screamed in his head as he was blown away from the tower to a place only God-knows-where.

Hikari shuddered remembering the old days where Sakura would hit her on the head whenever she made a stupid remark or insult her oh-so-Sasuke-kun back then. Hikari would never forget how much impact it made back in their genin days and to think that wasn't Chakra-enhanced. She started to sweat at the thought of how it would felt if she was the one she hit, not Hakuren.

'Poor Hakuren.' She thought. 'I hope you survive.'

She perked when she heard an unfamiliar language behind her. As if her subordinates knew what she was thinking, they all turned to where the voice came from. What they saw made them sweatdropped. Teito had taken out his cross and began to pray for Hakuren's survival. Kanda and Obito's face turned somewhat annoyed at his nonsense chant. Shun kept his calm. Itachi was impassive. Toby and Allen are neutral. Hikari, although she wouldn't admit it, began to pray in her head while keeping her face the same. The others? Let's say that some are ready to vomit of headache. Ino had it, she gained a tick mark. She walked over to Teito and smacked him on the head. Teito crouched as he clutched his head in pain. Hikari and the others winced. That has got to hurt. Not as much as Sakura though, they're not stupid to not figure out the effect.

"What is wrong with you girls?" Teito said in pain.

"WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU RAMBLING ABOUT?!" Ino shouted at him.

The others instinctively brought their hands to their ears, not wanting to be deaf.
Teito look offended, "That's not a rambling, it's a prayer."
