Side note: my friend @signed_poppy is writing a fanfic that accompanies mine, her's is about a water bender from the Northern Water Tribe who joins team Avatar to escape her family and help save the world.
Another side note: With the 2 year age up for all the characters this changes some events, so Zuko was still banished at 12 so has spent the last 5 years looking for the avatar. Also, Aang got out of the glacier at 14 rather than 12 so all the events of the show are happening 2 years later :)
