Ria entered the lift of her apartment, distress visible on her face as she clutched on her purse.

"Where is your glow bro?" Her neighbour friend, Eva chuckled but stopped when Ria passed her a sad look."What happened? Taehyung did something?" She asked.

"No." She shook her head as she looked at the ring."He proposed me last night. He wants to marry me." She said showing her the expensive ring.

"That's great, you should give me a treat and stop getting nervous over the wedding." She mistook it.

"Eva, I don't love him." Ria whispered to her making her frown."We were dating, and it was casual for me but I didn't know he was that serious. I like him, but not romantically, I went on dates with him because he is polite and funny but I never imagined myself marrying him. He doesn't deserve me, because I can't reciprocate the same love to him." She said feeling anxious.

"Ria, I think you are just panicking. It's okay." Eva tried to calm her down as they got out of the lift.

"No, it's not. He really cares about me, he shows alot of efforts and really loves me, I can feel it but no matter what I do, I just don't find myself in love with him." Ria said caressing her arms.

"Then why did you say yes to his proposal?" She asked.

"What was I supposed to do? He proposed me infront of so many people that were our friends. Eveyone was cheering, I couldn't explain anything to him and now I can't confront him, I feel guilt for not loving him back and too scared to hurt him now." Ria held her head."And he is already planning the wedding, sending me ideas and deciding everything and talking about having kids and all and it freaks me out. I can't love him and I can't say no to him." Ria bit her nails.

"Then what are you going to do?" Eva asked.

"I guess I will have to marry him. People say you should marry the one who loves you and that way you will be happy. I think I will be happy too, he really does try to keep me happy." Ria said and Eva shook her head."I guess I will fall in love gradually."

"Don't, this is wrong Ria. What if you don't ever fall in love with him? This relationship will suffocate you." Eva tried to make sense.

"I don't know. Everything is so messed up." Ria said standing infront of her apartment.

"Mam." A courier guy said and she turned around to see a bouquet of flowers in his hand with a letter."This is for you." He said.

Ria passed Eva a look, showing how Taehyung loved her and she couldn't say no to him now.

"Thank you." She said and he left."He is the perfect guy, completely upto my standards, I am sure once we start living, I will fall in love with him." Ria told her friend who didn't say anything.

Ria and Taehyung met when her dad was framed for corporate fraud, it was a hard time for her, after he effortlessly won the court case being an exceptional laywer and got her father his position back respectfully, Ria and Taehyung became friends.

Ria liked him as a friend but Taehyung loved her, girls around her would all the time say that Ria was lucky to have such a hard to get man behind her walking like a lovesick puppy.

When he would take her out on dinners and dates, Ria thought it was fun, since he was an interesting man but then he started to confess his feelings and desire to live his life with her and she couldn't hurt his feelings so she stayed silent and then suddenly proposed her for marriage and she couldn't say no to that either. She couldn't hurt the man who loved her. And it wasn't like she loved some other guy to reject him.

He was very romantic, vocal about his feelings for her and was extremely expressive. He would notice details about her that she would miss herself. He really paid her a great attention.

Ria put the bouquet on the table, he would often gift her these, if she saved the flowers he sent her, she could open a flower shop one day.

"Taehyung stop being so nice to me. I just wish you break up with me yourself and meet a girl who gives the same love you offer her." Ria sighed holding her hair.

Taehyung called her. They didn't stay together so Taehyung would inform her about everything happening in his life and ask her about her whereabouts.

She would know if he was going out with his friends, she knew about all his female friends and she once didn't get nice vibes from one and he blocked her out of his life.

Didn't follow any model on instagram or liked hot posts of girls and would be the first one to like her story or post and comment on it. He would not even hesitate telling her the password which was the day he first met her. Stare at her as if she was the only pretty girl in the world and no one existed after her.

If she texted him a reel or text, he would reply almost immediately. He was everything she ever wanted yet he wasn't enough.

"What were you doing?" Taehyung asked. He liked to hear about her day.

"Just got back home. Made a good sale today." Ria replied.

"That's great, you want whiskey for treat? I will bring that on my way to your place and then we can have a hotpot and discuss the wedding arrangements. I am so excited, I can't wait till we start a new chapter together." Taehyung suggested the idea.

"No." She abruptly said and he frowned."I mean, I am kind of tired and just planning to fall asleep. We can do that some other day, you don't mind right?" She asked.

"Absolutely not, take care and I can come anytime you want a head massage. I can just watch you sleeping later." He smiled and she bit her nails humming.

"I call you back later." She tried to end it.

"Did you receive the flowers?" Taehyung asked not wanting to hung up just yet, he was whipped for her.

"They are nice." She complimented anyway.

"And the letter? I wrote it myself." He said.

"I will read it and text you back." She suggested.

"Since you are tired, I will just send some food delivery for you or I can come and cook all what you want." He said.

"I am planning to just eat ramen, don't bother." She said looking at the letter.

"As you wish, bye and I love you alot." He said.

"Bye." She hung up.

He wanted to hear it back but he didn't mind her not saying it back. Maybe she wasn't in the mood to say it back, she was tired, right?
