Millie's POV

After Lando left I sat on the front door step and took a deep sigh. He'd given me one of his leather bracelets so I always had him close. I wondered why I'd let myself fall for a boy who travelled the world most of the year, what worried me was wondering if he even felt anything close to what I did. I thought about everything he said in the cafe last week, how he promised to make it work no matter what. I fiddled with his bracelet. 'God I miss you already' I whispered.

Eventually I went into the house and headed straight upstairs. I got changed and pulled out my phone and clicked to call Lou.
'Hey girl you okay?' She answered straight away. I sighed. 'I guess girl, how are you?'
''Millie, what's wrong??'
'I fell for him Lou. And now i don't know when I'll see him again. I feel so sad. Help me' I protested.
'How does he feel?' She questioned.
'That's the thing, I don't know. We kissed a couple of times. And he told me he's prepared to make it work but.....'
'Well there you go then!! Girl he's into you and if he wants to make it work while he travels then that's even more of a sign!!'
'Maybe you're right. I just need to trust him. Thank you Lou, I knew I could always count on you'
She beamed at me. 'Always my girl, love you always.'
'Love you' I called back and then she was gone. Lou was right, I needed to trust him & trust it would work.

Lando's POV.

Waiting to board the plane I glanced at my phone, Millie's smiling face looking back at me. I smiled back at her, how did I get so lucky?
'Final call 20.30 flight to Austria.'
I picked up my hand luggage and headed through the gate. Looking out the window I sighed wishing I'd been able to bring Millie. Luke had been invited to join McLaren again and was very likely getting a full time job with us, so bringing her was so out of the question. Spending so little time with her but still being so sure of my feelings felt so crazy to me, especially after being so broken hearted. Millie had turned my world upside down but in the best way possible. I knew I needed to talk to Luke about it before anything else happened.

Landing in Austria I was greeted by a lot of fans. I thought I'd have missed them being a day late. I pulled up my hood and smiled at the cameras.
I stopped to sign a few things and take a few selfies, I still needed to make them happy.
My driver was outside the airport as expected. 'Good evening Mr Norris'
'Evening, hotel?' I asked.
He nodded. I took out my phone.
'Good evening beautiful, I just landed. Wanted to let you know I arrived safely. Miss you xxx'
Almost immediately there was a reply.
'Thank god, I couldn't settle until I knew you were safe!! Miss you too xxx'
'Mils, how are you going to be feeling when I'm racing?xxx' i laughed to myself as I replied.
'I don't know Lando, and it makes it worse that you'll be in a different country so I can't get to you easy! Xxx'
I smirked to myself, this girl is crazy. All I knew is that when I saw her again I had to tell her how I truly felt.

Luke was waiting for me in the lobby when I arrived. 'What kept you? You stayed an extra day in England?' He questioned.
I pressed the button to call the lift. 'Yeah, about that, we need to have a conversation. Wait here I'll be back'
I dumped my bags into the room and messed with my hair. I was nervous to talk to him about his sister.
I headed back down in the lift and he was there, waiting in the exact spot I left him.
'Well???' He asked.
'Let's go sit somewhere' I gestured towards the seating in the lobby.
'Lando just tell me what you need to say' Luke was getting agitated now. I fiddled with my watch. 'Is this about my sister?'
I looked up instantly. I nodded my head.
'We've hung out a bit, and honestly Luke, I really like her.' I said calmly.
'Mate, I've seen how she looked at you. I knew she liked you from when we were at my mums. I just need to say one thing' He shuffled forward in his seat, so I did the same.
'As a family we've been through a lot. I can't see her heart broken again. I need you to look after her Lando'
'She told me about your Dad mate, and I'm sorry for what you through. I promise with my whole heart I won't hurt her. I could never do that to her.'
Luke held out his hand to shake mine. 'I trust you, I'll hold you to what you said.' He replied.
I smiled, 'thanks man'.

I wasn't fully ready to tell Millie how I felt, but knowing her brother had given me his blessing I knew there was one person I needed to call.
