Once we finally got home I received a text from Luke.
" It was really nice meeting you, hope we can hang out sometime and you can sing me a song. Have a good night beautiful :-)"
That short little text was enough to make my stomach fill with butterflies and have me smiling from ear to ear. I guess Ashton noticed and asked who texted me, of coarse I had to lie. I couldn't let him know about this. He would be pissed if he found out Luke and I have a thing going and I wasn't ready for that. Ashton has never really liked any of my boyfriends to begin with and I'm not sure he'll like if one of my boyfriends included his band mate.
I told Ashton the text was from my best friend, Lauren, and that I needed to go start my homework so he wouldn't question what she said because I don't know if I could make a lie like that up fast.
I ran up the stairs to my room so I could call Lauren and tell her all about the band practice and about Luke. I decided to respond back to Luke first before I forgot.
"Thanks, it was nice meeting you too. We should make plans some time his week. :)"
I called Lauren and filled her in with all the details and asked her if she would meet me at the boardwalk tonight since it was Friday. She agreed and I hung up to put on a more beachy outfit, grab some money, and head to the board walk down the street.
When I got there she was already at the pizza shack that we always order pizza from. I ran up and hugged her from behind and kissed her cheek. I know that may sound weird but we have been friends since third grade and that was just kind out the normal for us. She finished ordering our pizza and drinks while I found us a place to sit and talk.
She sat down and I immediately knew that first thing she was gonna talk about.
"Sooooo you and this Luke boy, is he cute"?
" yes! He has the most adorable smile and these gorgeous blue eyes. He has a sweet laugh and just a cute style about him. He is literally perfection". I probably looked like a puppy in love but I really was. He was amazing from what I saw of him and I hope it stays that way as we get closer.
" Sounds hot. So what's your first move" she said before taking a bite of our plain cheese pizza.
" well we will probably make plans sometime this week and hopefully it will go well since schools almost over and then we can hang out often" I spoke as a picked up a slice of pizza and then sipping some sprite.
" Yeah, and what are you going to do about Ashton? He will tear this Luke guy apart if he finds out. You know how he is when it comes to you dating" she said concerned.
" I know. I'm just praying we can keep it hiding long enough for me to slowly get Ashton more comfortable with me and Luke hanging out." I said kinda bummed that I would have to hide me and Luke hanging out and whatever else happens.
" Sounds like a gold plan. I'm here if you need me to doing any covering up or lying saying your at my house and whatever you need. I hope it works out for you since your last relationship was kinda a bust". She spoke while wiping the grease from the delicious pizza off her hands.
" me too. But I don't want to talk about my last relationship. that was a fucking nightmare". I said smiling a little.
" you wanna go walk along the beach? We're gonna need it after all this pizza" she responded back.
" Agreed. I feel like a hippo" I said laughing.
We packed up our things and threw away our trash and started walking to the sand. We always liked taking walks on the beach to just take in the scenery and get some fresh air. The beach was also a spectacular scene at night and every Friday they had fireworks. So we made it our tradition to always walk the beach and wait for the fireworks, and that's exactly what we did before she started feeling sick.
" Hey let's just walk to my house and you can take a bath and relax. I got some new bath bombs!" I offered her because she looked like she was gonna throw up.
" No no I'm fine I just need to sit down. I'll be fine I promise" she said back a little unsure.
" Lauren did you get your period this month"? I asked concerned.
" uh not that I can remember"
" let's go. We are walking back to my house and you're gonna take a bath and then lay down and relax while I go to the drug store and buy some pregnancy tests" I said not letting her respond before I dragged her up and started walking.
I got her back to my house and started a bath for her and gave her some clean clothes and water. I got her settled and told my mom to check on her in 10 minutes while I run to the store. I got in my car and drove to the store 5 minutes away. Once I pulled into the parking lot I got a text from Luke saying
" Wanna go to the carnival next Friday? Or we can hang out at my house and watch movies and eat pizza. But you have to promise to sing me a song no matter where we go!" He was so cute honestly but I left it for now making sure Lauren was okay was more important.
Walking into the store and picked up three tests and some chocolate just in case. I walked to the check out and got a text from my mom saying she was doing okay and that she gave her a heating pad to lay down with. I payed for the stuff and ran out to get home fast.
I got home and my little brother Harry was putting on a movie for her in my room. He was a sweet little boy.
"Thanks Harry" she said softly.
" you're welcome. Tell me if you want the second movie and feel better" he smiled
After about 5 minutes I got her up and feeling okay enough to go take a test and then had her lay back down. The first test came out negative so I had her take one more just incase. As I'm waiting for her she comes back with an un used test and turns to me.
" false alarm just cramps" she says laughing a little.
I get her pain killers and tell her where the tampons are. God damn that girl got me freaking out for nothing. But now that I knew she was okay it was a good time to respond back to Luke.
" Those sound perfect but do you think we could do Saturday instead? I have plans on Friday :/" I text back
After about 2 minutes I get a text back from Luke.
" Sounds good as long as you don't have plans with another guy ;-). See you then beautiful. Goodnight :)" he was adorable.
"Good night Luke :-)"

Okay hey. I decided to update sooner just to get the story going a little more. Sorry if this chapter is boring it's just a filler chapter before the date between Luke and Nicole. So yahhhh. Okay lolol bye :-))
