I SPENT THE ENTIRE NIGHT drawing a jack-o-lantern so it didn't look like I lied to Noah. It was embarrassing to say, "Oh I drew you" I'd make a complete fool out of myself.

So, I grabbed my pencil and sketched a jack-o-lantern. It wasn't very hard.

And it wasn't like I could tell Kimberly. Kimberly thought I had a crush on John. Which I didn't. John was werid. He had no hobbies or any personality to him. Plus, I didn't know anything about him. I was put on the spot and it wasn't like I could say I had a crush on my adopted brother. That was werider.

It was the weekend, finally. School was fun other than the fact these three girls would bully me. Noah had no idea. Nobody did. I hid that embarrassing part out of my life although there words did affect me.

I was finally free to stay home alone read and paint while I listened to music. Mom, Angela was out going late shopping for my birthday she said. I was very excited.

Noah was out with some friends so I was all alone at home.

I went into my closet and pulled out my box of tissues and my black eye cover. Just because I had everything I wanted, didn't mean I didn't try and find my family.

I sat down with my back against my dresser, the box of tissues next to me as I covered my eyes, seeing nothing but black. My door was locked for this very reason. Nobody knew I had powers. They all thought I was werid at first, especially with my umbrella tattoo.

I thought about Allison this time, seeing her curly hair in her fancy dresses, her nude lips and nicely applied makeup. Usually, I'd see just black which convinced me that they were dead. But this time, I saw something different.

I walked over to them. They were sitting at a table, eating. They couldn't see me or hear me. I looked at their 60s clothes and a smile appeared on my face as a tear slipped down when I saw them. Luther and Allison.

"Luther! Allison! Can you hear me!? I'm here!" I knew it was useless to scream, knowing they wouldn't notice me.

I looked around for any sign of their location.

"Hazel? You in there? Are you okay?" I heard a voice. And suddenly, I couldn't see them anymore. I just saw black.

I took off my eye cover and grabbed a tissue, wiping my bloody nose. "I'm in here! I'm fine" I told Noah as I quickly hid the eye cover and tissues in my closet, throwing the bloody tissue away. They were alive.
