Grocery shopping turned violent
Saturday night meant grocery shopping for the dorms, and this Saturday it was decided that Bakugo and Yomi were in charge.
Which is what led to Yomi being dragged through the dorm front doors right as she went downstairs for an after school snack in her comfy clothes. She was dressed in a simple pair of black sweatpants and a gray baby tee. While Bakugo was also in a pair of sweatpants, though his were gray, and a black skull top.
Unintentionally, they had oppositely matched.
They had been tasked with grocery shopping together in the past, but they never really talked and simply split the list in two and went their separate ways. But now that they formally knew one another and had had conversations their silent walk there was much more comfortable. Both internally thanked the other for not speaking; sometimes silence was nice and needed.
They walked side by side on the sidewalk, both in their own world of thoughts.
"You planning on getting a bunch of spices for your fried taste buds?" Yomi asked Bakugo as they stepped into the grocery store together. Bakugo waited as Yomi grabbed a cart by the entrance as opposed to their usual individual baskets.
With a role of his eyes Bakugo took the shopping cart from Yomi and began maneuvering around the store as she followed him. "We're not getting any unnecessary shit, okay? We're sticking to this stupid list."
With a mock nod to Bakugo she teasingly reponded. "You got it, lord explosion."
"Just follow me, dumbass." He responded as he went down the list of fruits and vegetables first. "Go grab the fruit." He mentioned towards the fruit with his head as he handed her the list.
It continued with Bakugo telling Yomi what to do as she followed his orders. They eventually finished their task of retrieving all the grocery's as they waited in line for the check out.
Yomi turned to him while they were waiting. "We surprisingly make a good team, Bakugo!" She held up her hand for him to give her a high five.
"Obviously because i'm here!" He smugly replied with a cocky smile on his face.
Yomi huffed out a laugh as his cockiness, "Just give me a high five."
Bakugo hesitantly reciprocated her high five. "There, happy, loser?"
Yomi lightly smiled up at him as she responded, "Very."
Then it was finally their turn in line. They swiftly checked out and payed with the UA credit card for their dorm building. They each took half the bags at first, until Bakugi snatched two of Yomi's from her arms on their way out.
"Hey, what was that for?" Her eyebrows furrowed as she looked over at him.
"Don't worry about it, dumbass." He grumbled under his breath as he adjusted his grip on the bags with the added weight of the two new ones.
"I'm not weak, I can carry my own bags!"
"Trust me, I know."
Yomi's eyebrows knitted together further as she looked at him closely, taking in the sight of his muscles flexing with the added weight of the bags a he looked away from her. She let it go and chose to walk next to him in silence till they reached the dorms.
Kaminari and Kirishima came running up to them the second they entered the building. "Food, food, food!" They chanted as they approached them, both trying to look through the bags they were still carrying.
A tick mark appeared on the Bakugo's face before he burst in anger. "GET AWAY DUNCE FACE AND SHITTY HAIR!"
Yomi laughed at him from behind him, clearly finding enjoyment in his annoyance. He let out an angry grumble but didn't yell at her for laughing at him. Both Kaminari and Kirishima pulled confused faces at this, not used to Bakugo letting things like this go.
As the two carrying grocery bags walked away side by side the blonde and fake red head conversed.
"Bro, did you see that?" The electric user whispered to the red head.
"He totally didn't yell at her just then!" Kirishima said in amazement.
"Looks like Bakugo has a little crush!" They both evilly chuckled at this new found knowledge before sneakily walking in the direction of the two they were conversing about.
When they were just around the corner they heard conversation being made in the kitchen.
"No, dumbass, the spiced go in this order!" They head the blonde say angrily before a collision was heard.
"Ow! You can't just hit me with boxes, Bakugo!" Yomi replied as she rubbed the back of her head.
"I can do anything I want!"
"Watch your back, Bakugo." The red head eerily replied.
"Like you could do anything." He mumbled under his breath before a loud crash was heard.
The two hiding looked at each other with wide eyes filled with surprise before cautiously turning the corner.
There on the floor lay both Bakugo and Yomi, Bakugo lying on his stomach as Yomi sat on his back. She held a baking sheet in one hand as the other lay tangled in Bakugo's hair holding his head up to meet her eyes. "Hit me again and see what happens." She said as she held the pan higher.
"Get off me, loser!" Bakugo yelled at her as he kicked his legs in hopes of getting her off him.
"What the fuck." Was heard from the corner of the dorm kitchen.
Their two classmates standing in the corner slowly backed away when the duos eyes landed on them, then Yomi quickly released Bakugo before getting up and he followed suit.
"Not a single word about this." Bakugo said so calmly that is scared the two lurking boys before they scurried off as they yelled their own forms of agreement.
They both heaved a sign of relief once the others were gone before turning their heads to meet eachother eyes. Yomi burst out in laughter as Bakugo let out a faint chuckle. The two stood in the kitchen with their half put away grocery as they looked at each other through their amusement.
