[Beacon Academy, Forest of Forever Fall]

The camera opens up with a view of a dorm window, before we are suddenly inside said dorm, of which Pyrrha Nikos can be seen sadly staring out of, as Lie Ren can be seen reloading StormFlower in the background, with Nora Valkyrie jumping on her bed. Jaune is still missing.

Nora: "How come Jaune gets home so late?"

Ren: "He's become rather scarce since he started fraternizing with Cardin."

Nora: "That's weird... Doesn't he know we have a field trip tomorrow? We need our rest! *She then twirls and flips mid-air, landing in her bed, under her covers*"

Pyrrha"*Angrily* I'm sure our leader knows exactly what he's doing."

Nora: "What about Y/N? He's seemed pretty upset with Jaune himself."

Pyrrha: "*Remembering Y/N was with them that night* I'm sure Y/N is giving Jaune exactly what he deserves. He knows what he's doing after all, why would he need us?"

Nora and Ren exchange glances, not knowing that Jaune himself is looking in through the crack of the door.

Nora: "Mmmm... I guess so."

Jaune quietly closes the door, as he hangs his head, just then a voice interrupts any forming thoughts he has.

Ruby: "Hey, Jaune! *Startled, Jaune whips around, only to be met with Ruby in her pajamas* Long time, no see! Did you lock yourself out again?"

Jaune: "Oh, uh, nope! *Raises his Scroll, as he attempts to laugh it off* Got it!"

Ruby: "So! Where have you been lately?"

Jaune: "I, uh... *He attempts to lie, but can't think of anything, before he sighs* I messed up. I did something I shouldn't have, and now Cardin has me on a leash, Pyrrha won't even talk to me, and I've made Y/N mad at me, and... *He takes a deep breathe through his nose, exhaling* I'm starting to think coming to this school was a bad idea. *He leans back against his team's door, before he falls to the floor, sulking* I'm a failure."

Ruby: "Nope!"

Jaune: "*Looking at Ruby, confused and surprised* 'Nope?'"

Ruby: "Nope! You're a leader now, Jaune. You're not allowed to be a failure."

Jaune: "But... what if I'm a failure at being a leader?"

Ruby: "*She adopts a thinking pose for a moment, before she looks back to Jaune* Nope!"

Jaune: "*They both laugh, as Ruby then joins him on the floor* You know, you're not the easiest person to talk to about this kind of stuff"

Ruby: "Nope! *Jaune leans back into the door a bit more* Jaune, maybe you were a failure when you were a kid... *Jaune groans as he shrinks lower into the ground* ...and you might've even been a failure the first day we met! *He groans again, and sinks even further* But, you can't be one now. You know why?"

Jaune: "Uhhh, because...?"

Ruby: "Because it's not just about you anymore. You've got a team now, Jaune. We both do! And if we fail, then we'll just be bringing them down with us. *She gets up, before posing with her hands on her hips* We have to put our teammates first, and ourselves second. Your team deserves a great leader, Jaune. And I think that can be you. *She then walks over to her door, and opens it, where Jaune looks to see her waving* Have a good night, Jaune! *He heads inside*"
