"Leave us alone, this is Yejin, my girlfriend."
I blinked multiple times, just to reassure myself that I was hearing him right. "What?"
Ni-ki glanced over at me before cracking a smile, wrapping his arm around me.
"Didn't you hear me?" he said to the girl in front of us.
The girl scoffed before walking away, unamused.
Just as she walked away, Ni-ki quickly removed his arm from me, letting out a sigh of relief. "I'm sorry," he said. "This crazy girl kept bothering me and insisted that I give her a chance so I had to come up with an excuse."
I shrugged, slightly processing what had just happened. "It's okay," I said, still unsure of what to think.
Ni-ki rubbed his neck before brushing the front of his hair back. "I hope I didn't weird you out too much."
I cracked a small smile before laughing. "Don't worry about it, you gotta do what you gotta do."
Ni-ki nodded while smiling back.
"Yeah," he mumbled while I studied him. He had brown hair that was overgrown into what looked like a mullet. The sides of his hair were naturally pushed back while a few strands of his overgrown bangs hung in the front.
He wore a white collared shirt with a bolo tie attached, hanging loosely over his chest while wearing a thin, black blazer over.
I glanced back up at his face only for my eyes to stop at his lips. His lips were full and perfectly shaped, staying slightly parted while his bottom lip gently pressed against his teeth.
I quickly stopped myself from staring any longer and cleared my throat. "Aren't you supposed to hang out with... you know, your other friends?"
Ni-ki shrugged. "I was, but I think it's more fun if I stay here," he smirked.
I rolled my eyes before laughing. "Suit yourself."
After what seemed like forever, Jake finally made his way over with two cups in his hand. "Sorry, I took so long," he said, handing me a drink.
I shook my head. "It's okay, I was talking with Ni-ki," I said, bringing the drink to my nose. "Thanks, though."
Jake raised an eyebrow until he saw Ni-ki beside me. "Oh, you guys got to know each other?" he asked while Ni-ki nodded.
"I mean I have been curious about the so said 'new girl'," Ni-ki replied.
Jake laughed while I smelt the drink for a bit before deciding not to dwell on what it was. I took a big sip before choking some of it back up. "Shit-" I choked while tearing up.
Ni-ki started laughing, taking the drink from me while Jake patted my back. "Don't talk while you're choking, dummy - and you're not supposed to drink it like it's soda."
I patted my chest before coughing again. "I was expecting a punch or something not- alcohol!"
Jake laughed. "It's a party, what did you expect?"
I rolled my eyes while Jake handed me a bottle of water. "Yeah, if I choked to death right there, it would've been your fault."
"Whatever," Jake mumbled while laughing. "So dramatic"

"Hello?"
A loud voice sounded through the speakers before everyone groaned, covering their ears in pain, including Ni-ki, Jake, and I.
