Max's pov:
I called him Brad and he didn't care. I CALLED HIM BRAD AND HE DIDN'T CARE.

I tried not to giggle as this thought rushed around inside my head. I really did like Bradley. And he actually liked me back. And right now I was in his bed. This didn't feel real, it all felt like some kind of fever dream. Was this going to be my first real relationship with a guy? That thought made my cheeks flush red, just imagining what could happen between us made be giddy with endorphins.

I looked over to Bradley but he was still asleep, I wondered what time it was. It was kinda light outside but Bradley didn't have a clock in his room so I wasn't able to work out what exact time it was. I decided to try and go back to sleep, but after about 10 minutes of trying to squeeze my eyes closed I gave up. Carefully removing Bradley's arm from me (yes he had been cuddling me in his sleep) I slipped out of the bed, with my main intention being to not disturb Bradley, and went over to where Bradley's phone was. I had left mine back and our apartment when I went to go to the gamma house and didn't really realise till I had realised I needed to check the time.

I grabbed Bradley's phone off of the window sill and flipped it over, checking what time it was. But instead of focusing on the digits at the top of the screen, I was distracted by his screensaver. It was a picture of him, his dad, his mum and a girl who I presumed was his sister. It looked really fancy, kinda like an oil painting, but at the same time it looked.. off.

Bradley was centred in the photo. Standing between his mum and dad, his sister was towards the side of the photo, almost as if she was exiled. His mum was smiling so wide that it looked fake and his dad wasn't smiling at all, just a stern expression across his face. Bradley looked much younger, probably around 16 or 17- but he was still pretty cute. You could definitely tell he was the favorite child, but the entire photo gave me the wrong vibes. Bradley's expression was his usual smug smile, but there was nothing behind his eyes, not joy, not pain, but just.. nothing. His dads hands were on brad's shoulders and he looked really tense, his mum seemed kinda pushed back as well. I knew Bradley's family was dysfunctional to say the least but never really grasped what exactly it was like until I saw this. His mum and sister looked so out of place in family, as if they weren't even a part of it at all. It started to all make a bit more sense why he stressed out so much about his dad..

I actually looked at the time (which is what I'd picked up his phone to do in the first place) and saw it was 6:43 am. I could probably leave now and get back to my apartment before Pj and Bobby started to worry too much. Then again, I did run out of the house high and drunk and I wasn't back all night so they were probably already worried enough...

I put down Bradley's phone and made my way back to the bed, trying to gauge whether or not Bradley was awake.

He wasn't.

So, I sat back down on his bed. I tried just thinking to myself, but I couldn't help watching him sleep. He looked so calm, so peaceful. I was just content watching him.

"It's creepy to watch people whilst they sleep you know"

I jumped, I had no idea Bradley was awake, he definitely looked like he was fast asleep.

He kept his eyes closed but was smirking, he was probably peeking through a tiny slit in his eyelids or something, still it kinda freaked me out.

"I..well...uhhh.."
"I...wElL...UhHh..," Bradley mimicked laughing
"Chill out freshman, I know I'm irresistible"

My face went bright red, he had never really flirted with me before and it definitely took my s bit by surprise. He sat up and smiled at me, it was so comforting. I actually felt like he might like me. Like really like me. But part of me knew there was something deeper with him, something that made him not want to like me.
