"ATTENTION EBINA TROOPS, take position along Miyamasuzaka Street. Ikaruga Troops, secure the intersection of Dogenzaka and Bunkamura Street. Itakura Troops, establish a defensive perimeter at Hachiko Square. Captain's orders," I commanded through the earpiece, my voice firm and commanding.
"Roger that, Vice-Captain," came the unified response over the comms, indicating their understanding and readiness to execute my orders.
Yoju-level Kaiju were scattered everywhere. These monstrous creatures resembled giant botflies, their grotesque, bulbous bodies covered in a sickly sheen. Their wings buzzed ominously as they darted through the air. Their larvae, the size of small dogs, wriggled and writhed, infesting every corner they could find. The sight was enough to make anyone's skin crawl.
The plan is straightforward but critical. Our objective: to lure these airborne Kaiju into a central location for effective extermination. These creatures, though erratic in their flight, possess a deadly arsenal. The acidic toxins they emit upon contact can penetrate even the most advanced combat suits, causing severe harm. It's a risk we can't afford to underestimate.
"These Kaiju are volatile, remember the incident last three years ago? Yeah—these little fuckers are back in business," I continue, addressing my troops with a solemn tone. "They may seem disorganized now, but remain vigilant. The Kaiju's toxins are potent—any contact can result in severe burns, even through protective gear. Maintain distance and coordinate your attacks. Draw them towards Hachiko Square. We'll concentrate our firepower there and eliminate them swiftly."
I watched from a vantage point, assessing the situation with a critical eye. The botflies swarmed erratically, their movements a chaotic dance across the skyline. We needed to lure them into a confined space where our firepower could be most effective.
"Now that's settled," I mutter quietly, eyes fixed on the looming threat ahead. "They'll handle cleanup. Time to focus on this..."
But the Yoju were just the beginning of our problems. Three Honju-level Kaiju loomed over the city, their presence casting a palpable shadow of dread. These were not just any Honju; they were monstrous centipede-like creatures, each one more hideous than the last. Their segmented bodies, covered in armor-like exoskeletons, slithered with horrifying agility. Each segment had multiple legs, which clicked and clacked as they moved, creating a nightmarish cacophony.
And they're fucking three of them...
I wanted to puke. I hated centipedes, and these monstrosities were the stuff of my worst nightmares. Their fortitude level was a daunting 6.4, and it would require an entire platoon of Defense Force soldiers to defeat just one of them. Yet a Vice-Captain and a Captain can beat them alone.
The plan was that I would take on one of them while Ashiro handled the other two. Good. Because I can't stand being near these things any longer than necessary. Ashiro is damn lucky, just firing her cannon from a safe distance, far away from these hideous creatures.
