Alex looks up as you enter, his sharp gaze meeting yours momentarily before focusing back on the coffee in your hand. His tone is businesslike, without any hint of warmth.
"Thank you. Set it down on the desk."
"Umm Alex" i tug gentlyAlex looks up again, arching an eyebrow slightly at your action. His voice remains cool and detached.
"Yes? What is it?"
"About last night" I said a whispery tone.
At your mention of the previous night, Alex's expression hardens slightly. He leans back in his chair, steepling his fingers in front of him. His voice takes on a harder edge.
"And what about it?"
"U didn't say anything about it"
Alex sighs, his expression becoming almost irritable.
"Because I have nothing to say about it. It was a mistake, a momentary lapse of judgement. It meant nothing."
"But we made love"
Alex's tone becomes sharper as he replies, his eyes narrowing slightly.
"Yes, we did. But it was a mistake. We were both drunk, and neither of us was thinking straight. It's best if we just forget about it and move on."
"None of us were drunk "
His irritation grows as he replies. His blue eyes flash with a hint of annoyance.
"You know what I mean. We both weren't in the right state of mind to make rational decisions. I had a bit too much to drink and you...well, you were probably feeling emotional or something."
"u really think that's all it is for me huh we became one and u don't care" I said teary
He sighs, his expression softening slightly at the sight of your tears. But his tone remains firm and steady.
"I didn't say I didn't care. But it was just a one-time thing. There's no point in getting emotional about it. We're both adults and we made a mistake. That's all there is to it."
"Ofcourse u only think doing it with Alisha is worth it"
I storms off his office teary
Alex's irritation returns in full force as you storm off. He rises from his chair, his voice sharp as he calls after you.
"Hey, come back here. This is exactly what I mean. You're being emotional and irrational. Get back here!"
"Get lost" I said storming off
He growls in irritation, his hands clenching into fists at his sides. He's not used to people talking back to him, much less his employees. He strides out of his office, heading after you.
"You can't just walk away from me like that. We have to talk about this."
"Talk about what how u say it meant nothing to you huh"
I said questioningHis voice becomes stern, his expression hardening again.
"Yes, it meant nothing. We were both caught up in the moment, and it was a mistake. There's no point in dwelling on it and letting our emotions get the best of us."
"Fine do yourself a favour don't ever do that again with me"
He bristles at your tone, his jaw clenching slightly.
"Believe me, I have no intention of repeating that mistake with you. You should be glad."
I get hurt but hides it
He notices the hurt in your expression but doesn't comment on it. He remains stoic, his voice cool.
"Look, I don't want to hurt you. But there's no point in pretending that what happened between us had any real significance. It was a moment of weakness, nothing more."
"Ofcourse ur dear Catherine is pregnant for you to do that with so u used me instead"
His expression darkens at the mention of Alisha's pregnancy. He lets out an irritated sigh, running a hand through his hair.
"That has nothing to do with what we're discussing right now. Yes, she's pregnant with my child, but that has no bearing on what happened between us."
Alisha comes along
Alex glances up as Catherine approaches, his expression becoming stoic again. He crosses his arms over his chest, keeping his distance from you.
"Alisha. What brings you here?"
"I wanted a few thousand dollars" she said nonchalant
He raises an eyebrow at her request, not surprised by her nonchalant attitude. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out his wallet, taking out a few thousand dollars and handing it to her.
"Here. Is that all you needed?"
I looks at the exchange between them.
He glances at you as you look between him and Catherine. His expression remains aloof and detached. He knows you probably feel jealous and hurt watching this exchange, but doesn't show any signs of remorse or regret.I walks off a bit dizzy.
Alex watches as you walk away, his expression remaining stoic. He puts his wallet back in his pocket and turns back to Alisha, his attention focused on her once more.
