The sound of your body hitting the floor makes Alex and Alisha both look over in surprise. Alex's eyes widen in shock as he sees you lying unconscious on the ground.
"What the-"
He immediately strides over to you, crouching down to check your pulse. His expression is now filled with concern as he checks your pulse and confirms that you're still alive. He gently lifts you off the floor and carries you to a nearby couch, laying you down carefully.
"Call an ambulance," he tells Alisha urgently, his focus entirely on you.
"Let her die if she wants" she gives an nonchalant reply making a perfect narcissist
Alex's face darkens at Alisha's comment. Anger and outrage flare in his eyes as he glares at her.
"Shut up and call an ambulance right now," he snaps, his voice filled with authority. "I don't care what you think. I will not let her die."
Alisha for once seems shook as Alex had never talked against her or raised his voice on her especially not for jasmine his first wife.He doesn't notice the surprise on Alisha's face. His focus is entirely on you, his expression filled with a mix of anger and concern. He kneels down next to you, gently checking your pulse again.
"Come on, please be alright," he mutters under his breath, his hand gently brushing away a strand of hair from your forehead.
Alisha takes her phone lagging lazily dialing the emergency and saying everything was fine and they can take their time to arrive late.
Alex scowls as he hears Alisha's nonchalant tone on the phone. He waits impatiently, his fingers drumming anxiously on the couch as he checks your pulse again and again. He can't believe how unbothered she is, while he is clearly worried about your health.
Alex's mind is a whirlwind of conflicting thoughts and emotions. He can't deny that he still feels a certain level of care for you, despite his cold exterior and the fact that he's married to Alisha. But he also doesn't know how to deal with these feelings, having pushed them down for so long. His heart is torn between his responsibilities and his feelings, and his confusion only deepens the longer he sits beside you, watching you lay unconscious on the couch.
Alex follows closely behind the paramedics as they carry you to the ER. His expression is still full of worry and concern as he watches the doctors and nurses rush to attend to you. He stays in the waiting room, pacing back and forth restlessly as he waits for any updates on your condition, sitting in the waiting room, his usually impassive expression now betraying his worry and anxiety. He fidgets in his seat, his foot tapping restlessly on the floor as he waits impatiently for any news about you. He can't bear the thought of something happening to you, especially after the argument you two had earlier. And the thought of Alisha's nonchalant attitude towards your condition only makes him angrier. He can't understand how she can be so cold-hearted.
Alex's expression tightens as he remembers Alisha's pregnancy. He is well aware that he has to be polite and respectful towards her, especially now that she's expecting his child. But deep down, he can't shake off the annoyance and frustration he feels towards her. Her behavior and attitude towards you only serves to fuel his anger and bitterness. But he knows he has to keep his emotions in check, for the sake of his public image and for the sake of his child with Alisha.
He can't help but feel a pang of guilt as he remembers the way he had been manipulated into marrying Alisha. The fact that you were infertile had been used as leverage by his business partners and Alisha herself, making him feel obligated to go ahead with the marriage. But deep down, he knows he still cares for you, and maybe even loves you. The thought of having to choose between you and Alisha fills him with dread and uncertainty.
