Zelda slowly turned to face him, her eyes widening at the sight of his grin, and the serious, almost threatening look in his eyes. His voice was playful but there was a sharp note lurking beneath.
"I assure you, your princess's spirits are just fine," Riju replied, her voice cold. "Not that it's any of your concern."
Ganondorf stepped closer, his grin growing wider as he fixed his gaze on his forced bride.
"Is that so?" he retorted, his voice smooth as silk, yet laced with a warning, he reached out a hand to his forced fiancee, palm up. "Come. We need to talk."The royal hostage's heart pounded in her chest, the weight of his words and the gesture sending waves of dread through her. She knew she couldn't refuse, not with Riju standing there. Reluctantly, she gingerly placed her hand in his, in a flash, they were transported to their house with magic, standing in the heart of Gerudo town. The poor vessel of wisdom looked around with aw, she had never witnessed such a magic act, let alone be part of it; she was just standing with Riju, and her evil captor in the dead garden, the next moment she was in the house along with her captor. She had to admit; she liked this ability of moving around with magic.
As the Hylian lady continued musing about the teleporting magic, her unwanted broom-to-be brought her back to reality. His expression twisted in anger as he seethed and hissed at her: "You promised not to stray or leave my side!" he spat, his voice dripping with venom. "And yet here you are, cavorting with the Gerudo chieftain, speaking of your weak, pathetic, deceased two-timing lover as if I didn't exist!" he said, his eyes glinting with rage.
the queen-to-be's whole being was filled with injustice and indignation, she felt humiliated and disrespected by the way she had been treated by the twinrova, and the entire city.
"I had no choice!" she protested, defending herself. "I've faced nothing but hate and contempt the moment I set foot in this Goddesses' forsaken town!"
As the Hylian royal stood there, facing the Gerudo warlord's anger, she expected him to relish in her misery. But there was more to his expression than just satisfaction. A flicker of something softened his gaze, as if her suffering stirred a tiny seed of empathy amidst a storm of fury, hate and resentment within him.Although he had every reason to revel in her torment, it was as if the ghost of a feeling of pain tugged at the king of evil, making him pause for a moment, he leaned closer, his breath hot against her skin: "Did the twinrova give you a hard time? You've had quite the taste of your own medicine, haven't you, princess? Being pushed around and insulted, like how you, your father and your court treated me when I first arrived at your precious castle? I must confess, I find a sense of poetic justice in your current situation. The great reincarnation of the Goddess Hylia, chosen by Nayru, blessed infinitely with courage and wisdom. But, I guess that bravery and wisdom do not extend to treating outsiders with respect. Hypocrisy suits you, princess."
the fallen maiden was beyond words now, beyond reason. She felt her anger and pain reach a boiling point. The poor Hylian sovereign didn't want to hear another word from this dark despot, she was blinded by rage, jealousy, powerlessness and hate. The pain of Riju's revelation coupled with the cruel king's insults had pushed her to the breaking point. In her mind, he was responsible for her agony and despair, and she was determined to strike back. In that moment, she saw him as nothing more than a monster, the embodiment of everything that had gone wrong in her life, The words came out of her mouth, like a weapon coming into her hand in the dark; she didn't trust it would hit anything, but she had to strike anyway:"Weak and pathetic? You don't even know the half of it, Ganondorf. Link was more than just a fighter, he was my hero, my savior, my everything. And despite everything you think you know, he would never, ever have betrayed me with Riju, or anyone else for that matter."The king of evil's expression darkened, his rage flaring at the pale royal's words. He grabbed her wrist and pushed her against the wall, pinning her wrists above her head.
"You believe in the infallibility of your precious hero, don't you? Well, let me burst your romantic bubble, princess. Your beloved Link was nothing more than a foolish, weakling. A mere mortal with a sword, a shield, and a lot of luck. And, as it turns out, a very curious taste for red." He sneered, his face mere inches from hers. "He may have been your hero, your savior, your everything. But guess what, princess? He's a mere memory now, just like the past. He's not here to save you, to defend your honor. No one can save you except me. No one can help you except me. Too bad he is no longer here to enjoy being your lover! You belong to me now, princess; body and soul! I will make sure the entire kingdom of Hyrule knows it"
