"Jane, you did it wrong again!" I was with Mr Dickinson in his office as he was giving me a lecture. "I asked for a data report on the last month's sales and you gave me a report for May, which was 5 months ago."

Ugh...I hate that guy. His name fits his personality; a dickhead. It's okay, Jane. At least you are an employee under Python Corp. I couldn't wait to rub it in everyone's faces when they found out that I was part of a major company. "Are you listening?"

Huh...oh yeah...the dickhead is speaking. Just get whatever you want to say out of your blabbering mouth and leave me alone.

"Oh, what was it again?"

"I said that you were only here for 1 year as a contract employee and I expect you to perform well to get a contract as a permanent employee at the company. But your performance has not improved after being transferred to the IT department in 6 months. Please perform better or else HR will hold a meeting with me to have you fired."

"But I did exactly what you've told me." What's his deal? Out of all people, he chose to be nitpicky with me.

"I'll give you credit for that but I told you to write our sales report LAST MONTH, which is in OCTOBER but you gave me the report for MAY. And someone before you had already worked on it. Listen to other's instructions clearly, you can try remembering them by jotting them down in a notebook."

"I have a good memory, thank you very much."

Mr Dickinson looked like he was about to bust his head and balls; like I'd give a shit about it, that's his problem. Like seriously, I'm doing my best in this fucking department for the last 6 months as he mentioned and he thinks that I'm doing the bare minimum. As if he read my mind, he said this to me:

"Please Jane, you have been complained by the team that you have been late for meetings more than 3 times and it won't be a good look for us. You even kept butting in whenever they tried to bring inputs for our last software project. And...." Oh, I just hate what he told me.

"I met up with Rebecca and she told me how you weren't cooperating with the team. Please listen to Rebecca and the team whenever they have discussions."

"Why are you listening to Rebecca?" Hearing her name just makes me want to throw up. Who knew that this bitch was going to work in the same company as me? And she's been a permanent employee since 2017; a year after we graduated degree from uni. Don't get me started on the degree program; she chose the same course as I did and was still the same nasty bitch that I remembered and now she's yapping shit to superiors behind my back.

"From what she told me, I remembered that the both of you were peers at M University, correct?

"Yes, but she's not as nice as she is now. She was being toxic and she bullied me throughout our diploma and degree years. And now she's going around telling everyone that I'm the bad guy?"

Mr Dickinson just stared at me blankly and dismissed me from his office. "Just don't cause more trouble in our department. For everyone's sake, please."

Mr Dickinson was getting the daily dose of his favourite aromatic black coffee from the vending machine when someone approached his direction. "Oh hey, Rebecca!"

"Hey, Dickie." That was the nickname he goes by with the team (except Jane). "So, what troubles did you get into this time?"

"Oh, you know, Jane was not listening to anyone and I don't want our department to get reprimanded by the board."

"Told you she was hard to deal with."

"Man, you could have told me when she first started." He says jokingly but he knew Rebecca doesn't take shit lightly.
