"Kiandra! Ano ba ‘tong gawa mo? Mali mali, ‘yung sentence construction mo, hindi maintindihan! Ulitin mo ‘to! Miss Bonnie said, as she carefully read every words that is in Kiandra's paper.

Marami po ka-" Kiandra replied, trying to excuse her mistake.

"I already had enough of this and that's final. Kiandra's professor, Miss Bonnie angrily said, smashing the piece of paper to the table that Kiandra passed.

Baka naman po pakihabaan ng ext-" Kiandra desperately pleaded, but got cut off half way through.

"Ano ka? Pa-special? Lahat tayo rito may pinag-daraanan, Kiandra! Ni-simpleng essay lang, hindi mo pa magawa? Bakit? Miss Bonnie furiously responded, with a small chuckle. "Huwag mo ‘kong idaraan sa iyak, Kiandra. My decision is final. Tomorrow, I want to see your paperwork sa desk ko. Miss Bonnie added, while looking at Kiandra whose tears are slowly falling.

She then took her stuff and stormed off, leaving Kiandra who was continuously pleading for her.

Kiandra stayed in the room for a few minutes more, staring at nothingness. She's doomed, fucked up, and she can't do anything about it. Her body's getting weaker and weaker, she wants to collapse in the spot that she's standing on. She wants to scream, tear her hair off, destroy everything around her, but she can't do anything.

Though, among all of the chaos that's going on in her head, all she really wants is to rest. She wants to rest because she knows that she still needs to keep on fighting, that she still needs to build a stable future for herself, that everything's temporary and she'll definitely make it.

But how?

Suddenly, her phone rang. She immediately looked at it and saw that her mom was calling her. She quickly wiped her tears off, and then answered the call.

"Anak? Nasaan ka na?" Her mom worriedly asked. Kiandra was about to answer her mom, but a gulp of shame stopped her. And then, she found herself tearing up again.

"M-ma.. She weakly responded, trying to hide the sadness in her voice.

But her mom can't keep but notice the cracks in her voice as she speaks. "Anak, umiiyak ka ba? Okay ka lang ba riyan? Nasaan ka na? Susunduin kita." Her mom hurriedly said, getting more worried as she heard her daughter's questioning situation.

She immediately responded, trying to keep her mom's worried soul by lying at her. She added.

"Sigurado ka, anak ha?" Her mom questioned, making sure her daughter is alright.

She replied, assuring her mom that everything's fine.

"Anak.." Her mom called.

"Po, Ma..?" She replied with confusion in her mind.

"Mahal na mahal ka ni Mama, ha? Palagi mong tatandaan ‘yan. Proud na proud si Mama sa ‘yo..." Are the words that made her break down completely.
