There was a lot of paperwork we had to fill out before getting to the actual binding ceremony, least of which included me taking custody of Rabastan Lestrange who would have to spend the next ten years on house arrest. A fact that sort of annoyed me.
Mainly because it meant that I'd also have to be home bound as well.
I'd see if I could get his sentence talked down later.
For now, it was finally time to give my vows to each of these men and after that I'd be bound to them for the rest of my life. Added on to that we'd be expected to have a child as soon as we can.
Meaning I'd have to sleep with them soon.
Truly, they were asking for a bit too much from us with this law.
Especially as there was a spell already created for women, and men with a powerful magical core, to conceive more than one child at a time. It even had a longer version that allowed for one to get pregnant by more than one person.
Said spell had also been mentioned in the letter when picking husbands.
Meaning we'd have no choice but to use it.
"Do know I'm here if you need anything," added Kings once the last of the paperwork had been filled in once we had given our vows before him. "I'll be seeing you."
I didn't bother to say anything aloud, only waved in answer, before leading the four men from the Minister's office and to the area set aside for portkey and apparation access.
From there it was a straight shot back to my home with the portkey I had created.
"I've had rooms set aside for each of you," I began once we had returned and Kreacher appeared to take my coat. "If you need to leave or call for your house elves to bring your things, do let me know as the wards around this home keep any not tied to me from entering."
It also restricted access for use of portkey and apparation as well.
They had only been allowed to do so as I had given them access just for today, which would need to be changed as I had no plans to keep three of them tied to my side in this house.
Rabastan wouldn't be given the same luxury.
"What relationship do you have with the Minister?" questioned Marcus before the others could even if they all turned their eyes onto me. "You're more than aware the vows we've sworn won't allow infidelity of any kind."
"I'm not in any relationship aside for being a friend and comrade to the Minister," I answered honestly since we had ended our affair a month ago. "What relationship I might have had with him or anyone else prior to our vows no longer matter."
The same applied to them was also not mentioned but they understood.
"Kreacher will deal with anything you might need, he has also been ordered to pass along any request that be against the rules onto myself," I continued with warning even if I had a feeling these four wouldn't cause as much trouble, hopefully. "All meals will be together, so when Kreacher comes to get you for them, do come down in a timely fashion."
Because I wouldn't wait for them if they tried to pull any petty tricks.
I only had to marry and sleep with them until I get pregnant.
A fact we were all aware of.
"Right," agreed Lysander with a small smirk before waving his hand, "can you give me access to come and go again so I can leave to get my things?"
Instead of answering verbally did I reach out with my magic to the wards and tie all but Rabastan into them. He was tied into certain ones but not for the floo, apparation, or portkey access ones.
Lysander gave me a small nod before apparating out of the room with Alastair a step behind.
Marcus remained at my side with the slouching Rabastan.
"I have a healer I trust coming today," I stated more towards Rabastan than Marcus since I knew he could handle his own affairs and hadn't been in Azkaban or the Ministry's holding cells. "If you prefer me to stay out of the room while they check you over I will."
Because I'd give him some privacy and respect, even if a part of me still couldn't forgive him for the role he played in torturing Neville's parents. It was also something I wanted to discuss with Nev considering he was a close friend and I didn't want him to be uncomfortable.
Especially as he'd be faced with both Rabastan and Rodolphus during our gatherings.
"I'd prefer if you weren't in the room," answered Rabastan voice a deep rasp as he finally looked up and met my eyes with his own. "Until I'm fully healthy once more, I'd also like to put off consummating our marriage."
Meaning he'd be the last of my husbands I'd sleep with.
"Alright," I agreed since currently I had no real interest in sleeping with any of the men I had married, even if all of them were attractive. "But do be aware we can't put it off for too long due to the contract we had to sign for this marriage law."
I'd give him as long as I could but I wouldn't push it to the point of endangering myself.
He only nodded in agreement before turning to Kreacher who began to lead him upstairs and to the family wing set aside for myself and my spouses and children.
Harry's room was also in the family wing prior but had been moved to the guest wing.
This was done out of respect to the vows I had taken for these men.
I wasn't too sure if they would have offered me the same.
"We should talk," mused Marcus as I turned my attention back towards him before motioning for him to follow me to my study. "Because of the fact that you had to take multiple spouses, I believe you should come up with a schedule of some kind to spend a certain amount of time alone with each of us. It would only be fair, or do you plan to play favorites?"
If I could get away with hitting him, I would.
"You make it sound so lifeless," I shot back before nodding in agreement as I grabbed a piece of parchment and my favorite quill, gifted to me by my father, "but you aren't wrong."
Because he wasn't, I didn't plan to play favorites and I was bound to each of these men for the rest of my life. It would only be fair to give each of them my time as fairly as I could.
There would be times when we'd all be together, for meals especially, but we'd still need alone time. I also had no plans to sleep with more than one of them at a time currently.
That could always change in the future.
