"Remember. No bets tonight. No foot races across the beach. No shot for shot competitions. We're all going to be on our best behavior," Jeong-min said as he looked at himself in the mirror and straightened out his bow tie.

Lisa rolled her eyes at her best friend. Sure, she and Jennie weren't subtle in their competitiveness, which had somehow ramped up even more since that night in the bar, but she wouldn't do anything to ruin this night for Jeong-min. "Come on, man, you're my best friend. I've got your back. I'm not going to do anything stupid. I promise."

Jeong-min ran a hand through his hair as his face turned red. "I know you're not. I'm sorry. I'm just so nervous."

Lisa rested her chin on his shoulder. "You have nothing to be nervous about. You should be excited. Jisoo adores you. This is going to be the happiest night of her life, all thanks to you. You'll propose, you can call everyone and tell them, then we'll celebrate by getting completely—" Lisa stopped herself from saying hammered when Jeong-min gave her a warning look. "Then we'll celebrate by drinking a completely respectable amount of alcohol."

"I know, I know. You're right. I just want tonight to be perfect for her."

"The love of her life is proposing. It will be perfect."

Jeong-min's phone went off and Lisa watched him fumble around with it until he could finally hold it still enough in his shaky hands to read the text. "Okay. They are just finishing up with dinner now. Jennie said they should be out on the beach in about ten minutes, just in time for the sun to be setting." Jeong-min looked up at Lisa and nodded his head, clearly trying to exude a confidence he didn't feel. "That's our cue. Let's go."

As they walked out of the hotel and onto the beach, Lisa caught Jeong-min checking his pocket that held the ring multiple times.

Lisa patted him on the shoulder and nodded her head toward the photographer Jeong-min had hired who was hidden off to the side. "You got this. I'll be right over there."

Jeong-min walked farther onto the sand and smiled at something off in the distance. Lisa followed his line of sight and watched as Jennie said something to Jisoo then pointed toward Jeong-min. Jisoo seemed rightfully confused and Lisa couldn't help but laugh as Jennie had to physically push her in Jeong-min's direction.

Lisa must have caught Jennie's eye because she began walking in her direction. The closer she got, the drier Lisa's mouth became. Jennie's black dress left nothing to the imagination. It was skin tight, stopped inches above her knees, and the neckline dipped unfairly low.

Lisa hated that her body was having this reaction. When she caught Jennie checking her out in the airport, she felt like she had the upper hand. But ever since the club and that dancing that neither of them had acknowledged since, it seemed like she was no longer in control.

"Nice to see you, Lisa. My eyes are up here by the way."

Lisa quickly moved her eyes from that plunging neckline up to Jennie's face, which was wearing the stupid smug grin once again. Damnit, she'd been caught. "I'm pretty sure when you put that dress on, you had no intention of drawing attention to your eyes."

Jennie put a hand over her chest. "Wow. That was almost a compliment."

Great. She had really done it. Jennie would never let her live any of this down. "Don't let it go to your head. It can't afford to get any bigger."

"Just for the record, I could totally come up with a thousand witty comebacks, but I have a proposal to watch."

Lisa tore her eyes away from Jennie and looked across the beach just in time to see Jeong-min go down on one knee. Jisoo threw her hands over her mouth, then began to jump up and down before jumping right into Jeong-min's arms. Lisa's heart warmed at the sight. She was so happy for her best friend. He deserved this moment and she was so glad she was able to share it with him.
