Lisa took a deep breath as she stared at the building in front of her. She couldn't believe any of this was happening. Jeong-min and Jisoo were getting married in three months and she was expected to help make sure the planning went smoothly. Not only that, but she was expected to do it with her enemy turned one-night stand. Not that Jeong-min and Jisoo knew about the one-night stand part. She knew how their minds worked. Telling them about it would get their hopes up for no reason. Jennie might have been amazing in bed, but she was still Jennie Kim, that obnoxious girl who couldn't get over the fact that she accidentally broke her nose one time.
Yet, here she was, walking into the wedding venue Jisoo chose and about to see Jennie just a week after their trip. Her jaw dropped as soon as she stepped inside. She knew Jeong-min's family was rich, but this took richness to a whole new level. The room was huge. The dance floor in the center seemed bigger than entire wedding venues she'd been to in the past. The stage at the far end of the room looked like it was set to hold Taylor Swift rather than a wedding band. When she looked up, a breathtaking chandelier caught her eyes.
"Excuse me, miss, are you lost? I thought this was a place for people who could find someone to marry them."
Lisa glared at Jennie, who had somehow snuck up beside her without her noticing. "If that's the case, why are you here?"
Jennie's blue eyes sparkled under the light of the chandelier, and Lisa hated that she couldn't look away. "Honestly, I'm not sure. Jisoo texted to let me know I needed to be here at this time. She didn't give me any details."
"I got about the same from Jeong-min's mom. She said she had to make some very important decisions today and needed help from the two people who know Jeong-min and Jisoo the best, which apparently is the two of us."
Lisa's attention was torn away from Jennie by the sound of footsteps getting closer to them. She looked over expecting to see Mrs. Shea, but instead it was a tall woman with perfectly straight brown hair who was rocking a sexy fitted pantsuit. She was quickly moving toward them, which was impressive given the heels she was wearing.
"Are you here to discuss the Shea wedding?" She pulled out a large calendar book that was filled to the brim with a random assortment of receipts, checks, and random papers covered in notes. She thumbed through the pages as if she had no time to be doing this. "The wedding is in September, which means this would normally be the time when we are starting to finalize things. Instead, this is the beginning so bear with me. We're kind of going to be doing everything at double time."
"Lucky for you, I'm great at double time," Jennie flirted, causing Lisa to roll her eyes.
The woman looked up from her notes and smiled for the first time since walking over. "Perfect."
Her smile faltered when her eyes caught something behind them, and she grabbed Lisa's arm, pulling her to the side just in time for someone to come stumbling by with a very large wedding cake. The woman breathed an audible sigh of relief before releasing Lisa's arm. "Well, that was close." She pointed back toward the man with the cake. "I'm going to go take care of that. Once the third member of your party gets here, meet me at that table on the far right over there. I'm Kay, by the way, I guess I should have led with that." She flashed them both a shining smile before walking away.
"Did you see that?" Jennie asked as soon as she was out of ear shot.
"See what?"
"She was totally flirting with me."
Lisa scoffed. What the hell was this girl on? "In what universe?"
"Okay. Maybe she didn't flirt, but she readily accepted my flirting. Maybe I should see if I can get her number."
