"You look absolutely stunning, Chu. I'm so happy for you," Jennie said as she stood behind her best friend who was staring at her wedding dress in the full-length mirror in front of her.

Jisoo focused on Jennie through the mirror. "And how are you doing?"

"We've been over this. I'm fine."

"You don't look fine." Jisoo shook her head. "I mean, you're fine as hell. But you look sad."

"I'll be okay. I promise."

Was she going to be okay though? She had no idea what had happened with Lisa. One day things were perfect and the next they were just being cordial to each other, exchanging texts here and there out of habit more than anything. Maybe what was happening between them always had an expiration date, and Lisa wanted that sooner rather than later. Maybe she thought her ex could offer her something Jennie couldn't.

Jennie chastised herself for what had to be the millionth time this week. If she had just been honest, maybe Lisa wouldn't have found the need to look elsewhere for what was lacking. She wondered how long whatever this was had been going on between Lisa and Minnie.

As if reading her mind, Jisoo said, "Jeong-min doesn't think there's actually anything going on between them. Lisa was kind of quiet about her reasoning for bringing her, but he really thinks they're just friends."

If they were just friends, why would Lisa bring her along to this wedding where she already had a somewhat date? Except that was just it. Jennie had never even taken her on an official date. For all Lisa knew, she just saw her as someone to have sex with, but that wasn't the case. She was so much more than that. Right now, she felt like everything.

"Ladies, it's time," the wedding planner said from the door.

Jennie smiled at Jisoo. "Time to marry the love of your life."

"Best words ever," Jisoo said with a grin wider than any Jennie had ever seen on her face before.

Jennie lined up behind the three other bridesmaids and right in front of Jisoo. Soon, they were directed to the doors outside of the chapel. When the doors opened, Jennie's eyes immediately went to the five people already standing at the end of the aisle. Okay. That was a lie. Her eyes went to one person in particular—the beautiful girl standing right next to Jeong-min.

Lisa's floor-length black gown looked absolutely breathtaking on her. Its cut was high enough to be classy but low enough to have Jennie's mouth watering. As Jennie walked down the aisle, she couldn't take her eyes off of Lisa. She wished more than anything that things could be different and wondered if they still could. As she got closer, Lisa's eyes met hers and it was like those brown eyes were seeing into her soul. She wondered if she could see how much she wanted her; how her heart completely belonged to her and how it was killing her to watch it slip away.

Jennie had to look away. She couldn't keep staring at Lisa or she was going to lose it. She let herself get swept up in the wedding ceremony and when she cried, it was tears of joy for her best friend.

But the end of the ceremony brought the march back down the aisle and that meant walking with Lisa. They met in the center and Lisa put her arm out for Jennie to take. As soon as they touched, all of the feelings Jennie had spent the week trying to convince herself weren't as strong as she thought, came flooding back. She wanted to confess all those feelings then and there, but that would have been wrong. Lisa was there with someone else, and Jennie was not that kind of girl.

Still, she leaned close to Lisa to whisper in her ear. "You look extremely beautiful today." Just a harmless compliment.

Lisa closed her eyes and took a deep breath then sighed, but when she opened her eyes back up, she gave Jennie that winning smile. "As opposed to every other day?"
