"Alright girls, listen up. We have a newbie today, so treat her the way you treat everybody else here. Got that... Selena?" Sandy asked. "OH. MY. GOD. Why do you always have to motion towards me?! I- ugh. I- UGH! I am not just some girl with issues ya know! I mean..." I stopped to turn around and see everyone all scared and... it was just FUNNY!!! Even my best friend Anais was starting to crack up when she saw the looks on everyone's faces! "Selena. Stop." Sandy growled. I scoffed and Anais whispered to me, "You'll be fine." "Anyway, this is Shayla. She's 15 years old, and well... everyone knows why she's here." "Yeah, Sandy. Not funny. Just... stop... please."
"Sooo.... where are you from? I'm Selena. And I am from, well here." I said while my son, Stryker came crawling and screaming. "Manhattan." She whispered. "Huh? Didn't quite hear ya there." I said politely. "MANHATTAN!!" She yelled with tears in her eyes. Everyone spun around and stopped talking to see what was going on. She looked around and at me, then to her lap. A tear rolled down her cheek. "I..." She swiftly got up and ran into the same room Sandy was in. "G-good to know..."
"What's wrong with her?" Anais asked. "I don't know..." I replied. Then I remembered. "Oh my god! I'm such a freaking idiot!! The poor girl just lost her dang parents! DUH!!" I screamed in her face. "Well, you don't have to scream." She half whispered. "I-I know. I'm sorry, Anais. But, how could I be so... I don't know. Idiotic?" I said while looking down at my lap. "Ugh. No. You are not an idiot." Anais started. "I-I didn't say that, I said idio--" "Doesn't matter, same meaning. What I mean is, you just forgot. It's not your fault, sweetie. Everyone makes mistakes." "Thanks Anais. But, I'm gonna take a drive. Stryker, let's go... pfft. He can't talk." I chuckled.
After two hours, we decided to come back home. "Sandy, I'm home." I sighed. Shayla came in the room. "Sandy went grocery shopping. But good news, she put me in charge." She chuckled. "Whoa, you? In charge? PBBBTTT!!! Yeah, and I'm sooooo not single! I doubt that Sandy put you in charge. If anyone has to be in charge, it's either me, Raini, or Anais. 'Cause we're the oldest. But you're... I don't know. Fifteen?" I said. "Listen, I'm not trying to be mean but, who did she really put in charge?" "ME!! Sandy put me in char--" She began. "Hey, Shayla! Sandy said that the young girls have to be in bed by nine thirty tonight. Sandy is running a bit late so, yeah." Raini said. "Huh." I scoffed. "Crap."
