It's been a while since Raini left. Christmas was just around the corner. I was in my room with Anais, Karen and Shayla Belle. "Oh, you just look so cute in your wittle Santa outfit. Yes, you do!" Anais said, playing with Stryker. "I'm just glad it fits him." Karen chuckled. "It fits him well. Thanks, Karen." I said, looking out my window. I sat on the bed and moved my hair away from my face. "You think she'll at least visit for Christmas?" I sighed. "Ugh. Don't start, Selena! C'mon, it's been a while since you've mentioned her! Ya need to move on. Get over it, over her!" Anais groaned. "She's--" "My sister." Everyone said while rolling their eyes. "Yeah. We know." I sighed. "If you miss her so bad... Go see her." Shayla said. "I can't." "Why?" "Since Karen told Selena where Raini ran off to, nobody has seen her. She went someplace else." "Ya know, she's basically missing." Shayla said, sitting next to me. We all muttered in disagreement. "Come on. okay, she's been gone for like, what? Going on like two months now?Nobody knows where she is, she's a minor! Hell, we don't even know if she's still alive!" I stared at her, then turned to everyone else. I was able to tell that they could know what I was going to do based o the way they looked at me. Karen shook her head. I stood up. "Don't do it, Selena, no!" "I gotta find Sandy." I said, running out the door. "Sel, no!" Anais stood up, handed Stryker to Karen and ran after me.

I was running out the front door, I heard footsteps behind me. "Selena!" Anais yelled. I ignored her, and continued running. I ran down the street, and ran to a dirt road. I didn't know where I was going, I just needed to outrun Anais. She didn't quit. Neither did I. I saw a ditch, and stared at it. I would turn by there. A sharp turn. That can make Anais slip and stop. But that's not what happened.

I slipped on a rock, and yelped. Tumbling, sliding, I fell into the deep ditch. My foot caught on a tree stump's root, causing me to turn directly around, but still not stopping me from falling. Now I was sliding on my back, and I was able to see the top on the monstrous hill. I landed flat on my back, and I even heard the impact. A heavy thud on the ground. I lie there, staring at the blurry sky, trying to catch my breath, which seemed impossible. I heard a girl yelling. I figured it was Anais, she was the only one near me. Even my hearing was muffled and distorted. All I felt was pain. Pain everywhere, all over my body. Darkness started to surround me. And the last thing I saw before I passed out, was my blurry sister and friend hovering above me.

I woke up in a hospital. My left arm was in a cast, and my right ankle was wrapped up. My left eye hurt like hell, and my head was aching. Felt small stings on my face, neck, hands. I looked around and saw I was alone in the room. But saw Shayla Belle, Karen, Anais, and Sandy standing outside. The girls were talking, Sandy was talking to a nurse or something. I didn't bother to tell them I was awake. I heard a door open beside me, and swiftly turned my head to face it. Raini walked out. She was rolling her sweater sleeves back down to her wrists and looked at me. "Hey, squirt."
