Jang Wonyoung skipped into her office building as usual, cheerful as ever.
Entering the building, she turned right into the main office, which was mostly empty except for three people: herself; her friend, Yeh Shuhua; and him.
Pursing her lips, she quickly walked over to Shuhua, who smiled at her and held out the attendance register.
"Hey Wonnie, how's your day been going?"
She smiled. Wonyoung grinned.
"It's been amazing, Shu,"
"I see you got up early, for once,"
He said, bored. Wonyoung narrowed her eyes at him.
"Very funny, Songsanim,"
She fake laughed and turned back to Shuhua. Signing the register, she smiled at her friend and waved before walking out.
"I'll see you later, Shu,"
"See ya,"
Folding her arms, Wonyoung walked down the hallways, looking for an elevator. She had been working in this place for close to a year now, yet she always managed to get lost in the huge halls.
"Wonyoung-ssi! The elevator's here!"
Lia, her coworker, called. Wonyoung smiled and ran up to her.
"Lia-ssi! Gomawoyo. How did you know I was looking for the elevator?"
The girl asked as they stepped into the elevator.
Lia winked and laughed.
"I just know you too well,"
She sang. Wonyoung laughed before nodding silently.
I wish someone knew me better than myself...
As the elevator door was about to close, someone stopped it. The two turned to see who it was. Wonyoung grimaced.
Him again?
Lia bowed and made Wonyoung bow too.
"Ah, annyeonghaseo, Sunghoon Songsanim,"
Wonyoung just hummed in agreement. Sunghoon smiled slightly at Lia.
"Ne, annyeonghaseo, Lia-ssi,"
Then, his gaze turned hard as he and Wonyoung made eye contact. She could see his posture getting stiffer as he saw her.
"And I believe we have greeted each other this morning as well, Wonyoung-ssi,"
He stated. Lia looked surprised, and Wonyoung just bowed without looking at him.
"Ne, Songsanim,"
He licked his lips and turned away from her as an awkward silence overtook them.
The elevator dinged and opened up to the seventh floor, where all of them got off.
Wonyoung and Lia waved each other goodbye, and Lia went with Sunghoon to the other side of the floor.
Pressing her lips together, Wonyoung headed to a large wooden door near the end of the floor and opened the door, sitting down at the large desk.
She started looking through some files. The door beside her opened, and her boss, Park Jimin, entered, smiling.
Wonyoung stood up and bowed immediately.
"Annyeonghaseo Songsanim,"
She smiled. Jimin smiled back at her.
"Hello, Wonyoung-ssi. I came here to tell you that I will be leaving early today as my wife, Jennie, and I will be taking the kids to that fancy restaurant in Seoul. Have you been there?"
