Chapter 9

Changbin stood up and hugged his sister.

"Call me more often, okay? I know that you were busy because of work, but make sure to call me every once in a while."

Wonyoung smiled.

"You're free every Friday evening, right?"

Changbin nodded.

"For the most part."

"Okay then. I'll call you every week,"

He grinned and patted her head.

"Good."

Yuna cracked up at the height difference.

Changbin pouted.

"Yah, so what if she's taller? I'm stronger!"

He protested. Yuna tried and failed to compose herself, which caused Jeongin and Namjoon to laugh too.

Jisoo folded her arms, shaking her head at them.

She looked down at her phone and sighed.

No new messages.

Flashback...

Changbin leaned onto the table.

"So you know that guy I work with? Jeon Jungkook?"

Jisoo froze. Her brother? What happened?

Her posture tensed, and she leaned forward, wanting to hear more.

Namjoon noticed her distress and squeezed her arm comfortingly.

"...Well, pretty boy pulled him aside and strangled him because the gold thingy was missing,"

Jisoo bit back her gasp.

Why didn't he tell her?

Whatever the case, she was going to kill that bastard.

How dare he strangle her own fucking brother?

Seething silently, she turned her head to the side to see Namjoon motioning her to calm down.

He squeezed her arm again, reassuring her that they would take care of the problem.

Sighing through her nose, she pout the slightest and folded her arms, leaning back in her chair.

While everyone was busy talking, she pulled out her phone and messaged her brother.

JEON JK

Yah. Why didn't you tell me that bastard strangled you at work today?

Leaving her phone alone, she and the others headed out.

Namjoon and Jisoo had come in their own car, so they went there.

They had come straight from a meeting with a drug dealer.

Yuna and Jeongin insisted that Wonyoung come with them, but she refused, saying she needed a bit of fresh air.

"Well, what if you're in danger?"

Yuna pressed.

Wonyoung pouted.

"Yah, you know I can handle myself. Plus, I have my phone. What could go wrong?"
