Jongwon's confession

Wonyoung and the IVE members were enjoying a laid-back day at the MMCH house with the MMCH maknae Line — Jinyoung, Jongwon, Ryuwook, and Kail. They were lounging around, chatting, and laughing when Wonyoung decided to share some surprising news with Jongwon as they sat together on the couch.

"Oppa, guess what?" Wonyoung said, her eyes twinkling mischievously.

Jongwon looked at her, intrigued. "What is it, Wony?"

"Jungwon from Enhypen confessed to me and asked me out on a date," she said nonchalantly, although she was carefully watching his reaction.

Jongwon's heart ached at her words, but he kept his face neutral. "Oh, really? Do you like him?" he asked, trying to sound casual.

Wonyoung shrugged. "I don't know," she replied, her voice uncertain.

"Do you... not like him?" Jongwon probed further.

Again, Wonyoung's answer was the same. "I don't know."

Jongwon sighed, trying to mask his disappointment. "Well, even though I know you have feelings for me," he began, his voice gentle, "you're not bound to me. You should give Jungwon a chance if you think it might make you happy."

Wonyoung's face fell, a flicker of disappointment crossing her features. "Okay, Oppa," she said softly, her usual positivity dimming slightly.

As the day went on, Jongwon couldn't shake off the regret gnawing at him. He overthought everything he had said, his heart heavy with the possibility of losing Wonyoung.

Later that evening, the maknae line decided to film a live Q&A session without the IVE girls. Wonyoung and her group watched from another room, curious about what the boys would say.

Halfway through the livestream, a viewer asked, "When was your last heartbreak?"

Jinyoung was the first to answer. "When Yujin told me I'm not allowed to go to the gym because she wanted to order food," he said, causing laughter from both the boys and the viewers.

Kail followed, "When Jongwon woke me up from my nap yesterday."

Ryuwook chimed in, "When Hyunjin stole my food two days ago. I was so upset, IT WAS INDIAN FOOD!!"

Finally, it was Jongwon's turn. He hesitated, feeling nervous and shy. "Today," he admitted, surprising his friends and the IVE members watching.

He continued, "The girl I like told me she got asked out by another guy, and I couldn't find it in me to confess to her, so I told her to go on the date."

The other guys questioned his decision, puzzled by his reasoning. "Why would you do that?" Jinyoung asked, clearly baffled.

"You know the saying, if you love someone, set them free. If it was meant to be, they'll come back to you," Jongwon explained, his voice tinged with sadness.

Jinyoung wasn't convinced. "Your love tactics are really questionable, man."

Kail jumped in, "Is the girl younger or older?"

"She's younger," Jongwon confirmed, which led to more teasing from his friends.

"You usually date girls older or your age!" Kail teased, while Jongwon tried to defend himself.

In the other room, Wonyoung was in shock. She couldn't believe what she had just heard. As soon as the livestream ended, she practically dragged Jongwon to his room, determined to get to the bottom of his confession.

"Oppa, we need to talk," she said firmly, shutting the door behind them.

Jongwon looked at her, feeling cornered but knowing he couldn't avoid this conversation any longer. "What about, Wony?"

"What you said on the livestream... is it true?" she asked, her voice trembling slightly.

Jongwon sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Yes, it's true. I've liked you since our joint birthday party earlier this year. You were playing and looking after my younger nieces and nephews, and I realized how much I liked you. But I didn't want to ruin anything between us."

Wonyoung's eyes softened as she listened to his heartfelt confession. "Then why didn't you tell me?"

"Because when you told me Jungwon asked you out, it hurt. But more than anything, I just want to see you happy," Jongwon said, his voice breaking with emotion.

Wonyoung stepped closer to him, her eyes locked on his. "Oppa, I don't want anyone else. I want you."

Before Jongwon could respond, Wonyoung stood on her tiptoes and kissed him. Jongwon, taken aback at first, quickly wrapped his arms around her, pulling her closer as he kissed her back. The kiss was tender yet filled with the pent-up emotions they both had been hiding for so long. They finally broke apart, both breathing heavily, their foreheads resting against each other.

"Jongie Oppa," Wonyoung whispered, her voice full of emotion. "I've waited so long for this."

Jongwon smiled, his heart swelling with happiness. "Me too, Wony. I just didn't realize it until now."

She looked into his eyes, her fingers gently tracing his jawline. "You don't have to be afraid anymore. I love you, and I want to be with you."

Jongwon's eyes softened, and he brushed a strand of hair away from her face. "I love you too, Wony. I promise I won't let my fears get in the way again."

Wonyoung smiled brightly before leaning in for another kiss. This time, the kiss was more passionate, as if they were making up for all the lost time. Jongwon's hands found their way to her waist, and he pulled her onto his lap. They continued to kiss, lost in their own world, until they eventually broke apart, resting their foreheads together again.

"Does this mean we're officially a couple now?" Wonyoung asked, her eyes sparkling with hope.

"Yes, we are," Jongwon confirmed, his voice filled with certainty. "And I'm never letting you go."

They shared another kiss, sealing their newfound relationship. Just then, there was a knock on the door, and Jinyoung's voice called from the other side.

"Hey, lovebirds! Are you two done in there? We want to watch a movie!"

Wonyoung giggled, and Jongwon chuckled, their moment of intimacy interrupted but not ruined.

"We'll be right out!" Jongwon called back, still holding Wonyoung close.

As they got up from the bed, Wonyoung looked at Jongwon, her eyes filled with love. "I can't wait to tell the others."

Jongwon smiled and took her hand. "Let's go, then."

They walked out of the room hand in hand, ready to face the world together. The other members of IVE and MMCH were waiting in the living room, their faces lighting up with curiosity and excitement as they saw Wonyoung and Jongwon holding hands.

"Well, well, well, look who finally got together!" Rei teased, earning chuckles from everyone.

"About time!" Leeseo added, grinning.

Wonyoung blushed, but she couldn't hide her happiness. "Yes, we're officially a couple," she announced, squeezing Jongwon's hand.

Cheers and congratulations erupted from the group, everyone genuinely happy for them. They all settled down to watch a movie, with Wonyoung and Jongwon snuggled up together on the couch, finally feeling at peace with their relationship.

As the movie played, Jongwon whispered in Wonyoung's ear, "I'm so glad I finally told you."

Wonyoung smiled and kissed his cheek. "Me too, Jongie Oppa. Me too."

And with that, they knew that whatever challenges lay ahead, they would face them together, stronger and happier than ever before.
