Winter was black-out drunk, stumbling as she held onto Karina while greeting the bar owners and trying to walk to Karina's place. She had drank a lot more than usual for obvious reasons.
Somehow she wasn't nauseous, even after all that drinking, mostly focusing on her crushes voice, which was reassuring and somehow sweet despite her also being a bit tipsy, just trying to not let her fall. The night was pretty to say the least.
Thankfully her apartment wasn't far and they both got there safely. Winter almost immediately fell asleep, basically half of her body hanging from the couch due to her exhaustion besides the drinking as well.
Thankfully it was Saturday tomorrow, so she could sleep in if she wanted to -not that she'd have a choice at that point- She dreamt of the time she fell in love.It was around a year ago, during the seniors' graduation when Karina had performed one of the songs that had been stuck in Winter's head, although the artist wasn't well-known at that time.It was like a dream how the lighting complemented her unreal beauty and pretty outfit, her voice sounding angelic as she danced and encouraged everyone else to as well.
Oh how she wished she could be on that stage with her at that time, playing the guitar to the song and supporting her on stage. Come to think of it, she hadn't practiced playing the guitar for a second. It was a night she would never forget, even if she ever wanted to.
She eventually woke up to the sound of vegetables being chopped and to an extremely violent headache, fixing the hair on her face and trying to remember how she got to this point. Her body felt like one huge brick that was weighing her down and her headache was hellish. She realised she was at Karina's apartment and more importantly, in desperate need of water and some sort of painkiller. She forced herself to get up and look for some, instead of asking and interrupting her crush's cooking. What time was it anyway? Whatever, she only cared to ease this horrible headache anyway.
She walked around for a bit, languidly looking through whatever possibly could have what she needed until her eye caught a drawer cabinet right next to the bathroom door. Her mom tended to keep medicine at a similar spot so she decided to look there as a last resort before going to ask for help. In the top drawer she found some self-care products and closed it, not what she was looking for. She hoped she could at least find Ibuprofen or something.
In the middle drawer there was some school papers from last year along with a couple of childhood pictures and a charger. The childhood pictures were adorable, she took a minute to quickly go through them before opening the bottom drawer.
"I didn't know she grew up in Suwon"She smiled before crouching and kind of leting her body drop to the floor, making a small noise but not really caring, she could just explain what she was doing if asked about anyway. When opening the bottom drawer she noticed something weird. The items weren't categorised at all. Until now, each cupboard, desk, box or drawer she had looked at had some sort of specific "category", sort of a way to keep organised.
Whatever, maybe it was just an exception. Even weirder ,the back part of the drawers box was taken off and it showed the inside of the wall, filled with darkness, cables and whatnot. She took a look out of curiosity and
What. the. actual. fuck.
A body- no, multiple bodies. Dead. Inside the wall. Corpses. She was in disbelief. Was this there before Karina moved here or was she the one that hid them? Corpses.
She didn't know what to do and her breathing hitched. She quickly closed the drawer and tried moving away from it, staring in fear. Multiple. Dead. Bodies. Were her eyes lying to her? She didn't know and tried to ignore the situation, blaming it on her raging hangover but it was too late.
